Umm...
So I just got home and updated the game and now it won't open.
When I launch it the window pops up and then closes. I'm on linux.
Is anyone else having this problem?

Re: Version 0.12.0
Why bigger enemies were added? The defense strategy will remain the same - just add more turrets. The attack strategy will not change - just use more turrets. So, what's the point of them other than forcing the player to build more turrets? It was talked about a few Friday facts ago, they were basi...

Re: Version 0.12.0
Thank you for your hard work! I would much rather have a few large and stable updates like this one than cheap updates every week! :P I'm so happy that we can finally automatically control the 3 oil factions, instead of trying to baby them and only noticing that something's wrong when you've got no ...

Wow!
That is so inspiring Lupoviridae!!!
I consider myself "computer smart" but this doesn't make much sense to me... Where did you learn how to make this?

Re: Thank you (Make the dev-team happy today!)
Thank you so much for making this wonderful game! :) I have logged 150+ hours, which is way too much for a teen with school, chores, and boy scouts. This is the ONLY game I bought as soon as I found out about it, without hesitation. So thank you devs for your hard and amazing efforts! Merc...

I think that a raspberry pic is powerful enough to run Factorio. I have a raspberry pi 2 that is overclocked at 1.1 gigaHertz with 1 gig of RAM. It even ran a minecraft server for 3 months straight!

Ah, the all-too-common loop-based rail system. I disapprove. :o Personally, while I consider it overused it is a really convenient and simple system to use until the new train logic and signals in 0.12... You need to have a far greater understanding of trains to do one 2-way track with bypass point...

Re: What modules should you put in a smelting setup w/ beacons?
Ok, thank you all for your quick replies!
So I was doing it right after all, since power is easier to get than resources.
Why do you have so many beacons next to your furnaces, isn't it more cost efficient to have more furnaces MeduSalem?

What modules should you put in a smelting setup w/ beacons?
Furnace.png Hello all- recently in one of my factories I have started using beacons with my copper smelting. However, I don't know what the most efficient setup with modules in both the beacons and furnaces might be. So far, I have 2 level 2 speed modules in the beacons with 2 level 2 productivity ...

Re: Friday Facts #86 - Trees
So far, I agree with most of the ideas in this thread! I do think that aluminum and sand could be important additions to the game, and uranium if it has more uses than just power generation/biter extermination. Maybe we could make nuclear power useful as a rocket propellant? Btw, is there a way to u...

This isn't gamebreakinig, but all the modules look like they are a lower graphics quality than usual after this update. Did anyone else have this problem?

May someone help me? I followed the current tutorial, this was done through copy/pasting and TextWrangler. However, when I load Factorio (in version 0.11.15 since 0.10 is broken for macs) it says: Unexpected error occurred. You can help us to solve the problem by posting the contents of the log file...

Hello, I've been watching a youtuber called MangledPorkGaming playing with this type of "gamemode" on. It is actually pretty entertaining to watch, he is on episode 15 or so and is playing exactly as mentioned in this topic, unlike Arumba. Thank you for your time, if interested you should ...

Re: New release and still no mac update......
I have a mac and we have already posted a bug report. The team answered that they are getting a mac in about a week so that they can test/fix the problem. So please don't insult the developers, I am willing to wait a week to play this amazing game. Secondly, this topic does not belong in the general...
