Re: [15.40] "Server is not responding" contiously while playing

Where is the server in relation to you? Is it directly next to you, or is it "out in the cloud" in some datacenter far away? It sounds as though the server is in a distant datacenter, and you are accessing it remotely from a home connection, probably DSL. If there are any background downlo...

Re: Crash in 0.16.24

Okay, so I see this has been moved to the "Duplicates" category, but this doesn't tell me anything. It's a duplicate of what? I have looked through all the "Fixed in next release / Assigned / Not a bug" etc categories and I don't see anything similar to this. Could some mod pleas...

Re: Crash in 0.16.24

I tried the save on Windows and it crashes as well, after about 4 minutes. The Windows log is a little different from the linux log. It says Access Violation occurred. 333.769 Error CrashHandler.cpp:314: Exception Code: c0000005, Address: 0x00007ff73a016f13 ModuleBase: 0x00007ff739b00000, ImageSize:...

Crash in 0.16.24

This is "Arumba Prime Marathon", a stripworld 128 tiles tall, and currently about 40,000 tiles wide, with 128x difficulty. It is intended as a long-play ridiculous difficulty game, meant to run for hundreds of hours. TO REPLICATE BUG: Launch the save game and do nothing. Just stand there. ...

MP Vanilla: Disable landfill and cliff bombs ?

Is there a way in a vanilla game to restrict landfill and cliff bombs via LUA and group /permissions, so that only the server admin can use these? I want to run a really difficult and annoying vanilla multiplayer world where people just have to deal with uncrossable water, cliffs, and islands the wa...

Re: 0.15.37 Map load failed: Flush failed: Broken pipe

Followup to this. We were able to get it going again. It loads in the Windows single player game, but not in the Linux headless server. Perhaps there is some programming difference between the two? One of our resident LUA experts removed 907 players in the "no craft" permissions group, whi...

Limit on rail yard decision making?

Is there a limit on the number of rails a train select in a huge rail yard? This huge rail system is failing because the train in the top right does not want to go down to the bottom and pick an open path. Instead it wants drive right through the topmost rail path where a train is already parked. ht...

Re: Baffled - please provide reasons

For games that are far into the endgame, with hundreds of rockets launched, and a huge factory..... unnecessary roboports waste your CPU time. In multiplayer, huge unnecessary map-spanning roboport coverage will eventually make it so you have to slow the game speed for anyone to be able to join. Rem...

[Script] Insert water / deep water into the map

If some idiot griefer has messed up your multiplayer world with landfill and you are unable to load a prior savegame, the following will allow you to repair the map and re-insert water back into the world again. NOTES: Doing this will disable achievements. SAVE the game world in case you screw this ...

Does pollution ever stop spreading?

This is a 0.15.x Marathon 10x cost game. It's getting quite large and slow, and has to run at 50% game speed for anyone to even be able to log on and catch up. I had this idea that maybe if I killed off all the biters, the game would be less laggy. But as I push the biters back, the pollution cloud ...

Central rail depot for everything?

I am trying to figure out a way to have one single huge depot where all trains without a stop will wait until there is a spot free for them to go. This depot is attached to a freeform track network via entrance and exit onto any track. I understand the basics: All depot parking stops are named the s...

0.15.10: Disconnected using blueprint library

Apparently reading through a ridiculously long shared blueprint library is treated as idle, and you are kicked if you spend enough time browsing through blueprints. FIX: moving mouse over blueprints and books, and scrolling the window, should reset the AFK/idle timer. http://i.imgur.com/Yn3hGX0.png

Shared blueprints: word search and scroll position

The new shared blueprint library is nice, but on a long-running server with hundreds of people joining, it rapidly becomes a horrible mess to try to browse. Please add a Search function, with Next and Previous buttons. This should automatically scroll the browser window and open books to show the ma...
