Re: Friday Facts #127 - Steam Status III: Thank You
I just noticed that there is a price inconsistency between Steam / Factorio page (20β¬) and the Humble Store (19,99β¬). Is there any reason for it?
In general i think it would be better to change the price on Steam to 19,99β¬ because of the psychological effect which makes it look cheaper

Re: Friday Facts #124 - Steam Status I
Another aspect regarding the steam release: Did you already think about whether or not to anticipate at upcoming steam sales? On the one hand this could lead to significantely more players ( people on steam love to buy games during the sale :D ) But on the other hand there could be people upset beca...

Re: Friday Facts #119 - Happy 2016
One unfortunate news regarding the Steam release is that our marketing and community specialist Betka, is now longer working with us. At the moment we are looking for a replacement. However this probably means that we will have to do the Steam promotion for the game (namely contacting youtubers / b...

Re: Friday Facts #116 - Strategy Guide
Nice :) One thing that is missing from the screen, which I think is a must for a game like Factorio, is (average) ping to server. You wouldn't want to connect to a server too far away from you, and have constant lags :) Maybe instead of ping it should include a something indicating if your ping to ...

Re: Friday Facts #116 - Strategy Guide
Great to see that you are working on a better multiplayer experience! I think there is another point which you should take a look at: In my oppinion, the most annoying thing about multiplayer right now is the transfer of the map at the beginning. I'm currently playing a map with a friend which has ~...

Re: Multiplayer Bug
You have to be either in a LAN network or your friend has to create a portforwarding of port 34197 to his computer. Alternatively you can use vpn solutions like Evolve or Hamachi

Re: Friday Facts #74 - The brainstorming
And the most important: - there will be the text masage - game is over, you can stop to play, you can really stop to play, just don't press the button: play again. You can go outdoor, there still should be some kind of life... But there are people who just don't want to stop playing their factory. ...

Re: What kind of computer do you need for Factorio?
I recently tried playing Factorio on my 5 year old Laptop ( Intel Core 2 Duo P8700, 1GB Geforce 9600M GT, 4GB Ram ) and it worked surprisingly well. In Early game i got constant 60 FPS. In my 40h Multiplayer Factory, FPS dropped to around 25 but it was quite playable. So i think as long as you have ...

[0.11.8] Items on Belt "overlapping"
If you bring 2 belts together to 1 and for example a mining drill is putting items on this specific belt, you can see a weird overlapping of some items. The following picture should make this clear: http://i.imgur.com/J0diSNb.jpg This can cause further problems with items stuck in corners or as you ...

Re: Friday Facts #64 The plans
I think the game should always give the player the choice whether he will end the game or play further. As we have an (nearly) unlimited world with (nearly) unlimited ressources it would be theoretically possible to upgrade your factory further and further. Therefore I actually like the colonization...

Desync reports - Comparison of levels
I recently noticed that in case of a desync one player gets a "desync report", which is stored in the folder "archive". In this report is the desynced level and the reference level. I thought it would be a great addition if we would have some sort of a tool which allows us to com...

Re: disable replaysaving for MP
I defninetely agree with this. To give an example with Numbers: In my 18h coop game, the size of the save file is around 45MB, of which 34MB are for the replay. But since Multiplayer in this version is officially only for LAN, where these file sizes are no problem, i'm pretty sure that the developer...

Re: Suggestion about inserters
I like your idea. I think everyone of us had a situation where we had to build some "workarounds" to get the items on the right side of the belt or something like that. Of course this works, but it needs a lot of extra space and doesn't look that pretty (in my opinion) I also think that it...

Re: [0.10.10] Can't enter vehicles anymore
Glad to hear that i am not the only one with this problem. :) This Bug seems to be really weird. In 10.10 my enter key and the numbers for the quickbar are not working. But only if they are assigned correctly. If i, for example, assign the number keys to the movement and the WASD keys to the quickba...
