Re: question about splitter

oh and if you weren't just making fun of the name, you can filter items through the splitter or configure it to prioritize one side or the other.

Re: question about splitter

um, if you're going to be picky, I would have thought you would depict half a belt coming out of each side of your splitter

Re: Version 0.17.60

Plain ol' NOPE. It's a shame that many people here feel that way. I've pain-stakingly read most of the three threads you mentioned, and it astonishes me that there are so many people out there playing the game would hold onto an old version of an experimental game. I'll acknowledge that there's bee...

Yes I missed the context of your conversation I quoted before. Apologies.
No, I am not waiting for a solution.

I play, I report bugs. I soak information about the game from places like this.

Re: Finding balance: a guide to belt balancers

I like that you decided to put some real thought into sharing your ideas and techniques. I like that there is a guide for such topics. I applaud the time and effort that went into making this. However, It was hard for me to read. The concepts are hard for me to follow, and by page 4 I was like, mayb...

Re: Version 0.17.60

There was a time long ago I found people here that refuse to use bots. Now it's such an important part of the game. What seems weird to me is all this talk of objecting to pushing bots back like they were in the perfect position before... to be honest in my recent play-throughs of 0.17.x I tech'd i...

Re: Version 0.17.60

Oil doesn't "dry out" and I guess you've never beacon'd a pump jack. Oh and, "the exact opposite of what you are supposed to do"? I object to you trying to tell me what I'm supposed to do. You may have a valid point about other recipes needing crude oil, oh what would I do? what...

Re: Version 0.17.60

But this argument is counterproductive to my opinion, this basically means you prefer watching robots do a blueprint you got from internet/made once a few years ago when you started than play the game. If you think placement of things generate gameplay, then robots are good when you copy/paste few ...

Re: Version 0.17.60

These new changes just got more exciting for me. Come on guys, a recipe that only outputs petroleum? How could you not like that? This change potentially enhances the game even after Advanced oil processing tech has been earned. A way I've made supplying large amounts of metals was to make them at ...

Re: How do new version affect older gamesaves?

It depends on how old the older version is. If you have been incrementally saving the old version to the new it typically updates/upgrades to the the way that version works. So yes you will probably have to change your whole oil processing factory production line. I have saved maps that are too old ...

I wouldn't say I'm giving up (and I like my current map) but today I'll probably start fresh with the new 0.17.60 release.

Re: Version 0.17.60

I am looking forward to playing this version, it seems significant so I think I'll start anew. My last play-through from zero tech to advanced oil processing was not so important, and rocket fuel was a bit of a challenge for me to keep up on. So it's like you made these changes for the way I play. T...

Re: Friday Facts #305 - The Oil Changes

The oil changes, whatever they wind up being, are fine to me. It's good to see the constructive discussions here but I do not support any comments that are purely subjective. I personally never found the problems; managing output blocks, how many items to make at what time, and when to tech into the...

Re: Thanks DEVs for FATCORIO

I feels me a merge coming... my answer to the question though: Probably not. The devs have done a lot of work around the graphics and interactivity of all parts of the game. An "upgrade" would mean they would need to re-address a whole new range of challenges. I'm sure their development ro...

Re: When do YOU give up and start fresh?

I generally keep playing as much as I can. Back in 0.14.x I had a map past 2,000 hours, 0.15.x I had a map in the hundreds of hours played, etc. I may play additional maps but know those are only temporary, e.g if I play with a friend introducing them to the game or want to practice growing a factor...

Re: Question - Is Inserter item drop position intuitive?

Now that splitters are configurable I wish inserters could be configured too. I'm not going to call the way it places items on the belt logical or illogical. However, to me it does seem consistent, being that it always places the item furthest away, and on the right-side when there is no furthest aw...

Re: Friday Facts #303 - Under 100 bugs (but still not stable)

From my perspective, Factorio experimental releases are far more stable than other beta/experimental programs I've used in the past. I would never use a productivity application in a beta or experimental state unless I was willing to lose data and time. I would think people are waiting for devs to m...
