Re: Train stations and circuit networks [0.13]

Have you checked the signals on that red wire? As far as I know the train stop DOES NOT send the train contents yet. Unfortunately... Well that's unfortunate. I thought I'd seen otherwise in a FF blog, but on the bright side, in looking for that, I found a solution to my problem: http://www.factori...

I don't care about precision, I just want it to stop at some point.

[0.13.0] Can't rename train stations

I'm not sure if this is a bug or if I'm just doing something wrong. Trying to rename a station; I click the edit button, which brings up the text box, but since the cursor doesn't start in the name entry field, I have to click to put my cursor there... but then clicking immediately closes the name c...

Train stations and circuit networks [0.13]

Messing around with the new circuits, I hooked up a smart loader to a train station, hoping that I could use it to load a specific amount of a given item aboard the train (In this case, empty oil drums), but that doesn't seem to be the case. It just keeps loading past the limit. Bug, or am I misunde...

Re: new concrete graphic?

I'm still really hoping for diagonal corners at some point. I'm tired of having to border all my roads with stone brick to avoid giant jaggies. Edit: I looked in the comment thread for that FF article, and found exactly one person complaining about the style, and lots of people that loved it. I'm th...

Re: Flame Turrets? and some slight issues

I'm pretty sure it unlocks at the same tech as the flamethrower. Make sure you're actually running 0.13? If you're on steam, you have to opt-in to the beta.

To be safe, you may want to remove smart chests if you have any.

I wonder how this will treat existing saves. I've got one I started this week I'm gonna test with, to see what it does with currently-built smart chests and whatnot.

Re: Discovering the obvious

it just seems to take a really long time because I get distracted by so many other things on my way to getting the tech that it takes like 5x as long as it should. xD Yeah, same. This was the first time I'd had literally no coal where I started, so I decided to try, rather than just re-gen, and dis...

Discovering the obvious

So, new discovery today. I started a new world to test a few things while waiting for .13 next week, and found myself without a single spot of coal anywhere nearby. But hey, I was right smack on top of a huge oil field, so I figured hey, I could push my way up there with wood fuel, right? Turns out ...

Wait, what does a circuit box do on a cement wall? o.O
Edit: Oh, it's beside a gate.

Darn, I was thinking we could read the damage on a wall segment or something.

Run it like the opposite of the april-fools dev joke. F2P and only have a limited number of hand-crafting "tokens" available.

Thank you so much for putting in the extra effort to deal with NAT passthrough. I've seen even some AAA publishers skip this critical step, making their games nigh-unplayable for many users.

As a Furnace Attendant, I'm curious to see what you'll settle on for backers. Not terribly anxious about it though. God knows I've gotten my money's worth out of this game (as have several friends I evangelized into playing)

Nifty items and all... but I think the programmers need to remember that the majority of their players... aren't programmers. Some less-complicated applications might be nice?

Oh my god, that space platform. I was skeptical about this whole current plan for the endgame until I saw that picture. I want to build in space now.

Re: Friday Facts #60 - Tests all around

Assuming the most recent run animation is the bottom right, I think there's still something a bit wonky about arm movement with body sway. Can't put my finger on it. Great to see the work process, though. Keep it up!
