Well they can't count with everything you do to the file. And they are just 3 guys so they better spend their time on features instead of this. Also i think they send only new data in updates so files must be exactly as before so that they can be patched.

I haven't played multiplayer much yet, but i find the picture of sabotage putting water into pipes instead of oil and clogging absolutely everything very funny. Probably not so funny for the victim though.

Re: Friday Facts #68 The trains
I really wish you skipped presignals and went straight for path signals. I know they might be harder to implement, but they are that much easier to understand for noobs and yet allow for more fluent traffic than presignals. I used only those in TTD. Also, the main problem why trains are underused is...

Re: [0.11.1] Crash on loading save
I also have this crash on corrupted save. Map started on pure 0.11.1. Not too far into the game. No mods.

EDIT: I noticed that the save has time 1 second before autosave interval. Could it be autosave interfering with regular save corrupting it?

I had to laugh when i saw that number, as i play on notebook with 3GB VRAM on a dedicated card. Had to work hard whole holidays to get it, though .Cordylus wrote:64 MB VRAM
(maybe you should somehow adjust it so that it reserves at least 512 VRAM off your RAM?)

Re: Friday Facts #44 - Decision making
I am making a good sport of guessing who wrote each friday facts, as slpwnd's english is a bit better (this time "an used" blew you). :P I'd definitely go with trapezoid tracks, and have at least 3 models (steampunk, modern diesel, hovertank) with growing module capabilities. I can imagine...

Re: Unpowered Pump
I just thought of some complicated way how to do it: -rotate the pump so its heading towards steam engines -make a circle of belts and 1 smart chest with a few items in it -let solar panel power an inserter that empties the chest an sends items through circle back to the chest -build smart inserter ...

It is a known thing and you are not supposed to put miners on belt junctions to avoid item collisions and belt overflow.
