Well, I want to make something entirely different gameplay wise, so making oil barrels have fuel value doesn't really seems all that different from vanilla.

I'm thinking of making invisible fluid wagon or storage tank as a proxy for the locomotives, then update remaining energy on the locos according to how much liquid left in the tank. Liquid wagon has better refuelling animation but the game doesn't allow me to place them overlapping with the loco no ...

How to recreate :
place a locomotive on rail, then place another train part overlapping the locomotive, the game just crashed afterwards.

I want to create fluid wagon directly on top (overlapping) of locomotive every time I place locomotive. So far it seems I always end up making collision box and rendering problem.

Seems like half the reply don't understand the problem, It's not when you want to use light oil/gas that is the problem. It is when you don't want to use them. And I stated earlier that it is unlikely scenario but doesn't mean it is not a problem.

Bots should be fire immune, it is very annoying if flamethrower turret put some flame puddle on a building and bots try to repair them at the same time.
