Re: Assembling Machines
That seems more of a problem with copypasting recipes on requester chests which, I agree, is kind of crap and I wish it went back to just 2x the resources or have some sort of option to adjust it yourself. i find it quite usefull because the requested ressources scale also when using speed modules ...

Re: Pre-Planning Phase option
Most players that place big blueprints actually dont know how much time/ressources are required to build these and if so much of the specific production is required at the moment.
edit: as i see it the fun in the game is the process of building a base, not having a perfect base

Re: So... Let's talk about bots, and how to fix them properly...
So limit the amount of items bots can take out of chests? Like bots waiting for recharge - bots wait to pickup items. +1 for limiting robots that accessing chest at the same time Which is effectively a Nerf... and Nerfs are usually hated upon by at least half the community as can be seen in other ga...

Re: Attachment image format conversion
+ have the checkbox checked by default People WOULD complain about that, if it was implemented. Not sure about that, i think most people just want to show sth and dont care about .png, .jpg at all. So a 100% quality compression to jpg would be unnoticed. - but whatever... there are more important t...

Assembling Machines
- Increase production time for all of the assembling machines to 2-4 seconds. - at the moment with .5s when using the recipe to set a requester chest it creates absurd large amounts ( i ment the requested materials, not the output of products sry) for a product that is not needed very often. e.g. sm...

connect to main electricity network. have extra station with supply train that delivers repair packs/lazer towers/construction robots, so it can defend itself... and then have a seperate robot network there. I'd love to hear other ways to do it :D edit: supply train also comes with artillery to get...

thx for the idea will tryDaid wrote:I actually tried bringing in steam by train on my last game. And use steam engines on the spot to power the mining outpost. With 1 solar panel to boot-strap the pump.
Actually worked pretty good, and prevented problems of biters destroying powerpoles.

Re: Friday Facts #225 - Bots versus belts (part 2)
I think the splitter control should be a late game research (near bots). Might be annoying to reconfigure the base after though. Maybe bots can cause a large power drain when recharging, as well as taking long to recharge. That way bot only bases have massive power usage spikes as a disadvantage. M...

Re: Train Pathing Question
I'm not 100% sure but I think that train choses path that seems shorter regardless of signal state on that path. If you move the siding to other side of main rail it will have same length as main track and should be used more often since pathing cost will be same as main line. yes that is correct -...

Train Pathing Question
Why does the train not take the yellow marked waiting area? I know how to work around that, but i stumbled over this problem now several times and it forces me to build the train network in a specific way.
