Re: pollution disappearing
If machines stops then pollution generation stops and then pollution will gradually dissipate (and a lot absorbed by trees). Did you stop researching for a while? Research is big consumer of material+power and thus triggers lots of pollution. It could also be that some belt or buffer which was fill...

pollution disappearing
In my current factorio world, most of the base was completely covered in pollution and it also spreaded pretty far around. Then yesterday I looked at the map and almost all of the pollution was gone (I didn't turn off alt). I unfortunately don't have a screenshot of how it looked before, but here's ...

Re: good engine/ robot setup?
That screenshot is missing assemblers for robot frames. Generally the 1-1-1 works fine. I tend to prefer 2-2-1 so i have spare engines and can use prod modules for the engines. 2017-02-22-18-05-10-4650107.jpg It needs some manual feeding with batteries and red circuits until the first bots are done...

Re: good engine/ robot setup?
Well an engine takes 20 seconds, an electric engine needs 1 engine and also takes 20 seconds, and a robot frame needs one electric engine and is again 20 seconds. Which means if you use all the same assemblers and modules, you can just have 3 assemblers in a line with a single inserter between, no ...

good engine/ robot setup?
I haven't seen many engine production setups on the forums so I'm not sure how to build it. I tried to make my own setup and it looks like this: http://i.imgur.com/jYhAZEg.jpg I'm not really happy with it so I wanted to see some of your setups. update: I forgot to add robot frame production :D Thank...

Re: construction robots doing nothing
That is usually what happens when bots dont have storage chest to put stuff in, but you said they were building. Hmm... no, at that time the solar arrays had finished and there was nothing else for the robots to do. thanks for the quick answer! I will try out setting up more storage update: it work...

construction robots doing nothing
I made my robots build some solar arrays and later I noticed some construction robots flying at a roboport doing nothing, not even charging. Also, the solar arrays had already finished and there was nothing else for the robots to do. I looked at the statistics and it said that 1231 of 2002 construct...

Did I begin this bus right?
I bought the game about 6 weeks ago and I started a new world a few days ago. This is the first world where I used multiple belts of resources from the beginning of the game. I wanted to know if I used all of the splitters right and if I built everything correctly so that it can have a high throughp...

Yet another almost perfect solar panel setup
I'm pretty new to factorio and wanted to do my first own solar panel setup. I tried around a little bit and finally I had this: http://i.imgur.com/cVfJFWw.jpg it has 162 accumlators and 192 solar panels (a ratio of 0.84375). Re: What does UPS mean in Factorio?
Updates Per Second. Unlike most common games, Factorio is much more limited by CPU speed then graphics processing power. And it runs in a fixed update cycle. Unlike other games that become less "accurate" if they your computer is too slow. thanks for the quick response :) I can imagine th...

What does UPS mean in Factorio?
I bought the game about 3 weeks ago and it's awesome . But I saw people complaining about low UPS on big factories. I know what FPS is bit UPS is new to me.
