Re: Uranium Power

Honestly, I thought the idea was a bit iffy myself. I'm no expert when it comes to this, but I figured that reactors only suffered damage when there was insufficient cooling. (This is the case in the nuclear reactor simulator) While standard maintenance is required for almost anything in life, opera...

Re: Uranium Power

Hey fatmice, I like the complexity of your ideas, but lets face the truth: if an atomic power solution might be stock in 0.15, all your work might be obsolete for the most ppl. Wouldnt it have kinda more sense to polish the current version of this mod, add fuel decay and fix bugs and other things a...

Re: All oil fields are very small regardless of settings.

It seems that no matter what I put into the base settings I can't get more than 5 or 6 oil wells per site, compared to sometimes 40 or more in vanilla. Am I missing something with petrochem and that's actually enough to keep plastic flow going somehow? Since there are several ways to create plastic...

Re: Uranium Power

Oops, meant the cold leg. This was quite the learning experience, as I forced my reactor to suffer a 50% satisfaction deficit for a good hour. Something I've never done before, as I usually tackle the declining power before it happens. Because of this, the vast amount of water required to keep it ru...

Re: Uranium Power

Not certain if I'm doing something wrong here or not, so thought I'd ask. I attached a screen shot of my layout, but I have encountered a couple problems: 1) For both steam generators, the hot legs remain around 300 degrees, constantly fluctuating between 296 and 301, even though the 72MW reactor a...

Re: Bugs & FAQ

You might need to force activate it then. /c game.player.force.recipes["water-thermal-lithia"].enabled = true Thank you very much. This command solved the problem. I have also another problem. Last time when I played with Bob's mods (0.12) sodium hydroxide and nickel ores were the main re...

Re: Uranium Power

-excess heat must be rejected into the cooling tower. Just noticed you added meltdown. Which reminds me, is there any plan or way to add a fallout mechanic? While I'm unsure if the damage or destruction of a reactor can be programmed to release a ton of pollution, there seems to be little reason to...

Re: Support - Uranium Power

After finishing the design of a major region in the factory and flipping the switch, it completely blew out the fuse, the reactors got overwhelmed and a major blackout occurred.
Sounds like the white box cure might be useful

Re: Development and Discussion

After your number tweak of 0.1.2 it add some incentive to use them (Thank god for that alumina speed upgrade), almost doubling the iron is great and might be worth the great cost, but might I suggest to adjust the speed of some of them? especially the higher tier are a very small upgrade. If you co...

Hello, i didn't get an answer yet. Kind regards
I'm guessing you're asking where to get the ores?

Jivolite Chunks create Uraninite Ore.
Crotinnium Chunks create Fluorite Ore.

Otherwise, you have to be more specific in your question.

Re: Uranium Power

Sounds flexible and complex enough to be quite a joy to design.
I've got a nice plot of land prepared just for a giant power plant, which should look pretty cool when you're finished the update.

Best of luck.

Re: Bugs & FAQ

Also, maybe I'm missing something, or perhaps it's not released yet, but bio processing allows us to filter the air for alien tech correct? I don't seem to have that asset or maybe I'm not noticing where it is. I'd like to start farming the small pink alien artifacts for the pink catalysts, but I h...

Re: Uranium Power

I'm glad to hear it. As my factory continues to grow at a massive and complex rate, I always found the reactor just too small and simple, so I craved much more from it. Heat exchangers were a thrill to learn and build early on though, as it felt like an interesting and decently sized power plant. Sp...

Re: Development and Discussion

Just updated to the latest PetroChem and noticed my entire ore line broke due to new recipes. After 30 minutes of figuring out how to make the new gas lines, I remembered that Fluorite Ore had no way to be synthesized... until I noticed the Hydro Plant converts Fluoric Waste Water into the ore. Prob...

Re: Development and Discussion

The only way you can have enough iron/copper/tin/thelastone plates is to smelt the corresponding crushed mineral in addition to the ore melting. Using Angel's Smelting can improve the plate output from ore, but it won't prevent the usage of the default crushed mineral completely (and yes, it will t...

Re: Development and Discussion
