Re: Factorio on Stadia please
... As far as I know, Stadia does require using the controller, but I don't think that's really an issue. I've ONLY ever played Factorio with a controller, and I've played a few thousand hours since 0.13. Granted, I do use the Steam controller, which is a bit better as a mouse than a typical joysti...

Toggle belt immunity
TL;DR Make the belt-immunity equipment toggeable What ? likely via the shortcut bar, as implemented for roboports and exoskeletons. Why ? Belt immunity is highly useful for building stuff or placing blueprints inside a thight or somewhat spaghettified factory. Using belts to get faster from A to B ...

Renaming & -iconing decon & upgrade planner
TL;DR Allow renaming and reassigning icons to the upgrade and deconstruction planner. What ? The above mentioned, should be implemented like already done for blueprints. Why ? Both DP and UP are customisable and I for example use at least several DPs (e.g. deforestation or removal of walls and lase...

Re: Glyph's big list of feedback: feature requests and more!
Remembers me of this ancient arcticle about a 500h megabase (no spm or back than rpm given). https://www.pcgamer.com/see-what-a-factorio-factory-looks-like-after-500-hours-of-work/ Most of the mentioned mods there (like landfill) are solid Vanilla these days. Excluding for example bp-mirroring and R...

Re: Factorio on Stadia please
My question is, how good is stadia optimized for mouse and keyboard games? And remember any semi decent pc or laptop can run factorio. Actually I‘ve runned a rather big base with an potato (Laptop with i5 7200U, Radon R5 M420 and 8GB DDR4 Ram) over the holidays and got decent FPS (of course on a sma...

Re: Flamethrower Ammo
Although flamethrower ammo is the only using fluids, so maybe the inconsistency and variation is an actual good thing. And let’s not forget, that the flamethrower is an big advantage, especially in early to beginning of midgame deforestation and with the new repcipe no refineries are needed. So it’s...

Re: Flamethrower Ammo
This is most likely a tradition carried over from pre 0.17.69, where flamethrower ammo contained a mix of light and heavy oil. With rocket fuel also requiring light oil since than, we have more recipes requiring the assembly Mk II+ fluid box. So no too strong reasoning on this line. I fail to see th...

Re: New Quickbar
I had to relearn, it took it‘s time, but the new quickbar or hotbar provides effectively the same usage as the old, but without getting spammed by trash items and providing 10 bars rather then only two.
IMO it‘s superior compared to the old iteration.

Re: Have separate command for "Set filter"/"Remove filter" for quickbar
Since you are setting filters, I‘m pretty sure the middle mousekey should delete them in the hotbar by default. Or is this the „toggle filter“ command you were referring to? I don't have a middle mousebutton X( . I do have a mouse4/5, but they're less convenient than just right-clicking to clear (l...

Re: Cliff deconstruction is broken
This is only symptomatic, you can come up with myriads of scenarios where one might want a actual deconstruction planner in a blueprint. Rather then a specific solution for very specific problems and the inherent danger of overclutting the UI or nowbody knowing about them, a much more major and broa...

Re: Make nightvision internal buffer bigger
KISS : NO inventory item should have an energy buffer (except the batteries) ! This is especially messy with Mk1 roboports + Mk1 batteries where most of your energy is often going to be stored in the roboports themselves and won't show up in the battery level indicator ! But why? Most, if not all i...

Re: How do YOU use and manage your v0.17 hotbars?
It took some time to get used to the new hotbar (years of quickbaring took it toll). especially the need to manually set or link items, let me building most stuff out of the inventory a fair while. But over time the ability to define presets (like general belting, fluid setup, rails etc.) did come i...

Re: Make nightvision internal buffer bigger
Why not have two nightvisions? Nightvision mark one doesn't have an internal battery, and is 2x2. Nightvision MK2 would be 1x1, and have batteries. You could use the excuse that nightvision is an incandescent bulb (return the power draw to the old value) and nightvision MK2 is LED (smaller, more ef...

No. Such a device is unrealistic and do not give interesting gaming mechanics. I would prefer for example ecological modules for advanced pollution control. They could reduce pollution at cost of speed, power consumption and maybe productivity. It would be more consistent to reduce pollution by add...

Re: Heat Exchanger + Circuit networks
You also can‘t connect boilers to the circuit network. My point is, the heat exchanger temperature will, once started never drop below 500 deg. any temperature of the heat pipes above 500 is effectively speaking storage. Aside from those technicalities, there is no other use for it, then creating st...
