Re: Friday Facts #359 - Crash site: The beginning
Nice. The crash site addition to free-play will make all the speedruns results obsolete with 1.0 release. It will be fun watching who will be the first to get all the records.

Re: Friday Facts #355 - High resolution updates
I wonder if the slow effect bubbles wouldn't look much better if they got an offset of a few pixels up.
Now it looks like flying ball under biters legs.
If it was on the main torso it could look much better in my opinion.

Please, if we need mod to see alt mode beacon feedback, give us back ability to earn steam achievements with such non-intrusive mods.

Re: Friday Facts #348 - The final GUI update
The sound effects are just too much. Why is there a delete placed bp sound effect? I really liked it being silent. There is zero reason to have most of these sound effects, and I feel the game is going to be a horrible cacophony of noise. (Many people on the steam forums have complained already at ...

Re: Friday Facts #348 - The final GUI update
Engine icon is not very representative. Maybe change it to something similar to electric engine with an exhaust or consider renaming engine to moving parts or treads. I can only imagine how bad the new icon has to look on compressed lane.

Footprints I love. Maybe make them a little bit more visible and stay on the ground for longer period of time. And then make tire tracks for vehicles

Re: [0.18.17] Can't create new blueprint books.
Forgot they were there in the beginning. Since those were so easily available in blueprint book I have removed them to make space for less available stuff of mod stuff. Can you guys remove the limit on the number of icons we can put there? Now I am 2 short

[0.18.17] Can't create new blueprint books.
The bar with blueprint book is gone from the blueprint library. Can't create new blueprint books, I can only empty and rename existing ones. I have tried to move one blueprint in the library on the other one but they do not merge in the new book but only shift positions. Is there any other obscure w...

Re: Friday Facts #339 - Beacon HR + Redesign process
Sorry, but I think it looks really really bad. Reasons: - too busy: the Beacon is a "passive" late-game building. It doesn't produce anything, it does not telegrph any status, it does not have to be popping out to you - too colorful: again, it just pops out too much for a building ...

Re: Friday Facts #339 - Beacon HR + Redesign process
To the first, and I don't mean to derail discussion here, but: Have you considered the possible evils of "burner" beacons with beacon-specific modules as a "fuel" type so they get burned up and beacons require input, complicating beacon layouts? :P Burning your hard earned modul...

Re: Friday Facts #339 - Beacon HR + Redesign process
Came here to post this too. Factorio for many people is a game for people who delight in orderly designs, and having randomised crookedness, when all you want is the joy of a straight line, is gonna drive some people mad. That's me. ... and the prospect to have variations of other entities what was...

Re: Friday Facts #339 - Beacon HR + Redesign process
Love the general idea and concept. Hate the placement variation, it does not fit the rest of factory where everything is nice and tidy. I think I will be placing and picking up beacons until I get my variation of choice, not cricket ones. Unfortunately it will be nightmare late game when bots are pl...

Re: Friday Facts #338 - The (real) Character GUI
I think the new gui looks really good and logically laid out. It solves a lot of the annoying problems with the existing system, like robots bringing a 2nd copy of all your logistic request items when you die. It makes trash slots more accessible and understandable how they relate to your request s...

Re: Friday Facts #338 - The (real) Character GUI
After you set up lots of logistic slots and realize that you forgot something, is there a way to insert some additional slots in-between the one that are set, or maybe drag those slots like inventory items?
edit: Auto sort of logistic slots to match crafting layout would work as well.
