A question to everyone - do you experience such lags/spikes in single-player or when connecting to some server in multiplayer? because it looks like catching up with the server when game sacrifices everything to reach it near 60 ups boundary

We didn't change much regarding handling graphics, so the code is probably wrong, but it's not a change between 0.14 and 0.15. What did change - much more sprites (fluid wagon, nuclear stuff, etc...) and especially Highres sprites when they are on. So my idea is that we are getting closer and closer...

Finally a nice repro for this, thanks! :) fixing. BTW game can be closed with Alt-F4

EDIT: Fixed for coming release.

I've checked your save with core-i7-2670QM, 24Gb, GTX 570M (1.5Gb) - 5-year old gaming laptop. fps is at 60 at 1080p fullscreen, no stuttering have been noticed. What do you mean "when ever I start the world up"? - loading this replay savegame or what?
Also, do achievement banners disappear over time or keep hanging there forever?

Got it. Thanks for the info, will look closer into it. So far unable to replicate and not seeing places in code that could be unstable regarding research which means it is something super-ridiculous :) when I get to this I will PM you with special .exe to track it down if that thing is so reproducab...

After running game at super-speed - after charting surroundings it recharts quadrant with player and it becomes this - all oil patches visible

So I suppose some other changes to charting mechanics between 0.15.1 and 0.15.6 have already solved that.

Still - what do you see on achievements tab for that thing - is it grey or red? and if it's red, what is the text? Sorry for asking such questions, it's just hard to replicate :) Also - do you mean in-game achievements or how they appear on Steam? And do you use Steam or "plain" version of...
