Re: Friday Facts #162 - Theme Art Again
It would be pretty cool if the boost that people want in assemblers would add a 25% boost to the productivity bar and only one can be consumed per craft. This way if one wanted to they could accumulate massive numbers of artifacts and never run out of a use. Using them in fast crafting items such as...

Re: Friday Facts #159 - Research revolution
I always thought it was a little weird how one cannot control enemy entities. I think it would be a much more interesting challenge if somebody could change the recipes of machines or the routes of trains. Basically the only difference between the two teams in my eyes should be who the turrets targe...

Man... Workstation builders just throw ram around don't they? My computer I was talking about was a workstation from like 8 years ago.

I'm the same way. That's why I forgot about it.AutoMcD wrote:Yeah I usually don't bother with it either. I don't like the green and prefer to drop lights.

I've seen it a lot of times and it never happens to me. If you don't know what I'm talking about I could probably dig one up for you.

Re: Multi Stack Filter Inserter
Emmm, Dumb question, but what is the problem with negative values? Just specify items that you don't need, and use hold signal from the belt and inserter as a filter. https://giant.gfycat.com/FarflungLimitedEasteuropeanshepherd.webm But if you want to go a little bit further you can notice, that in...

What does --apply-update actually do?
Just as the title says. Also there seems to be some kind of bug when the command is used wrong and then tried again. Says that a copy command is missing arguments.

Re: The golden train that doesn't know when to quit.
One stop might work. But I feel like it would be much harder to convince the train to switch routes

The golden train that doesn't know when to quit.
I made a train that never stops or slows down and is set to automatic for the lols. 20160906114732_1.jpg It is actually quite simple to make. Create a quite tall track of 4 lanes that are connected together in a similar way as the initial screenshot. And add 2 rail signals to the oposite coners with...

Re: Quick-setup resizable mining outpost
The chests with less items in them will increase the average items per chest before equalising their numbers. So if one chest ever becomes unbalanced it is impossible for them to equalize. Edit: after typing this I realize this makes no sense whatsoever. But this is what I have seen. But once again ...

Re: Quick-setup resizable mining outpost
That's a nice variation of the chest balancer. I don't believe it does balance more evenly, but it simplifies the configuration if you want to vary the chest count (as you point out). It's not really a big advantage because usually you have a blueprint that includes the chest balancer and it will n...

Re: Block A single side of rails
If you mean conveyer belts instead of rails that is totally possible with underground belts facing sideways. If you actually mean rails i have read your post 3 times and don't see what you want.

Re: Quick-setup resizable mining outpost
If you use similar wire setup you can get a usually more exact number in each chest and change the number of chests. 1. Wire each chest to the below inserter. Except the one furthest down the belt. (Red wire) 2. Connect each inserter to the same green network. Except the same unwired inserter before...

Re: [0.14.0-3] Player movement during desynch
Every update seems to come with a new source of desyncs. Being almost gurenteed to be killed by them because you started running at the speed of light tends to be way worse than any other bug.

Re: [0.14.0-3] Player movement during desynch
That thing where it says desync name will disconnect. This bug does not seem to be dependent on cause.
