Re: My Factory
one constantly producing green circuit assembler is good for 8 adv circuits, same for copper wire. (assuming everything is using the same type of assemblers)

saves that were originally saved in 0.10.0 and are re-saved in 0.10.1 continue to work for me.

disabling replay functionality seems to do it.
Current workaround is to save a game in 0.10.0 and reload in 0.10.1

Re: Mining Drill Properties
Resources have a mining hardness, the speed at which they produce goes something like this (Mining power - Mining hardness) * Speed / Mining Time = production rate (in resource/s) Mining power + speed are functions of the miner and hardness + time are functions of the mineral. Electric miners produc...

Re: [TIPS] For a quick start (Give your tips)
first, get 2 coal burners facing eachother as aforementioned and work to getting 4 iron burner miners feeding into furnaces and feed with wood or coal. Get a stone stone miner and a copper miner too. At the start you need a ton more iron than anything else.

Re: Just my little base.
I added a gear assembler for the inserter production, thanks for spotting it :p. Unfortunately I found it hard to expand at the rate I was researching. So this is the base 6h 20m in. As it is, progress is bottle necked by low plastics production which im in the process of fixing. Smelted copper is b...

Just my little base.
http://puu.sh/9wDwm/8038f3fa5a.jpg Just my starting setup at about 1:50. It has been producing 1 red/green pack every two seconds for the last 50 minutes and at the moment it is limited due to a shortage of iron. The green circuit network limits science packs to 200 in the storage up at the northea...

it would be nice to be able to decide which side of the train to get off, but jumping off the train without the risk of dying, seems a little too much.

Re: Electric energy
I personally would really like a (supercritical) boiler. Such things exist IRL and are approximately 2x as efficient as regular plants. The supercritical boiler would take 2x2 space and be 75%-100% efficient, and produce 2x more power than the regular boiler and would heat water to >373Β°C instead of...

for freeplay not to end you simply do not build the rocket defense. There is nothing forcing you to build it, and it serves no function but to end the game.

I think adding competition (multiplayer) and automatching in a proper way will considerably enlarge the playerbase to people who have that mindset.

Re: Is fuel too strong
I think it would be better to give energy consumers an efficiency rating, say for example 30% for stone furnaces, 50% for steel furnaces, 20% for burner inserters, 50% for regular boilers 75% for supercritical boilers (not in the game), etc etc and then make it so the energy gained is multiplied by ...
