Re: Friday Facts #91 - Being the evil guy
Tbh, I'm not mad the schedule for circuit networks (and all this kind of stuff) is delayed, especially when the reason for it is pushing an update with endgame content. I really feel the advanced logic stuff will only be used to full potential by a very tiny part of the players, the remaining will j...

The most notable improvement is that you can now save and load your flowcharts as JSON files. Also, you can enable and disable specific mods, just like in the game. Your mod selections are stored in graph files when you save them. You're my hero (twice) :) However, I'm afraid I came across a bug. H...

Re: For creators
So first, there is a mod that does that : https://github.com/Rseding91/Fueled-Burner-Inserters With that, your immediate need will be fulfilled. Next, it has already been suggested that burner inserters start with initial energy, so that there is no need to manually insert 1 coal or 1 wood. I hope i...

Re: Global moderator colors
There is a manual change that has to be done by the moderator himselg to change de color of his name.
Some do it, some don't (but it has been documented by Ssilk, so every mod has access to the information)

Re: Storing energy as hydrogen (and oxygen)
For gases (and most fluids), cooling and compression are two sides of the same coin : when you compress, temperature raises. When you cool, pressure lowers. PV=nRT, and all that stuff. If you want, you can test it at home : take a bycicle hand pump, a bicycle, and inflate a tire. you'll feel the pum...

Re: Guarantee resources in starting area
I've played maybe 15 games of Factorio total, although many only for a few hours before stopping, and in only one of those did I feel like I had gotten a bad starting area in terms of resources. The question is : how many times did you restart each game to have a suitable starting area ? I played r...

Re: Dying in SP should be like in MP
The thing is that ... a trigger that respawn biters seems just to be a game mechanic to limit player suicide strategy ... and that's all, no reason why a player's death should trigger a respawn surge. It just feels like "well we devs want to set limits to you dying so if you do it too much, the...

I personnally like very much the idea of a research, that allows to discover cloning, and with that, a building to ... build and keep the clone functional. Building a clone could be a long and ressource intensive process, each clone would act as a "life" for you, the cost in time and resso...

Re: [Request] ELECTRIC BOILER
Nobody said There should not be loss between the energy obtained via the heat produced by the boilers, and the energy needed for the boilers to heat the water. Even in real life, you could build such a design : electric boilers exist, you can heat water with them. With that heated water, you can pro...

Re: [0.11.x][MP] UpGrade (Better vanilla stuff)
If you threw it in .rar format, that's normal : You should either uncompress it and add the mod folder, or unrar, zip, and add the zip.
Factorio doesn't read rar format.

Re: Uh, moderators, please squash the spam bots
If you see a spambot, you can report it with the report function, and wait for mods to do their job.
Aside from that, remember that moderators are humans, they don't F5 all day long to ninja-ban spambots on first post. Thank you for your comprehension.
Nothing more to say, topic locked.

Also I'd like a robot to know if it can reach its destination without having to recharge, and get to closest roboport before delivery if needed. Right now, I often see robots get close to requester chest, and realize "uh-oh! I'm just one tile away, but just realized I need to fly 20 tiles back ...

Hi people, If you're being sarcastic, it's OK for me, just remember Poe's law , and act (write) accordingly. If you're starting a public verbal fight in these boards, you're only attracting the wrath of moderators and their magic scissors, if you see what I mean. You are allowed to disagree, ...

Today is a sad day ...
It certainly is off topic, but Sir Christopher Lee, a highly talented actor, known for having been Saruman, Dracula, Count Dooku, and many many more, as well as a Heavy-Metal Fan and singer has left us recently (I just learned it today) at age 93. I'm sure many Factorio fans will have seen him in on...
