Yes, they will. It's likely they will already be there in the first release of 0.13.

Re: Friday Facts #125 - Achievements

@TheGecko66 Hi! Achievements haven't been officially released yet as far as I know. You can see them on Steam, but I don't think you can unlock them yet. I assume that's the main reason. But it's true that there seem to be few achievements to get early on. We'll just have to see how it turns out. :)...

Re: Possability of a GOG release?

GOG also let's you activate certain products with old keys (usually from when you bought it on disc long ago). I assume, if there will be a GOG release we might even get the option to use the free Steam key there, too. In this case you could already get it now and have it on GOG when it's ready. How...

Fascinated, he listened. It would take another hour until he was drawn back into reality by an unpleasant visitor. And truly, he now felt an urge to rid this rising feeling of anger.

Re: What will happen after official launch.

Hi, you can usually open older saves on a new version without any problems, so you can still play on the map. But you won't be able to watch a replay of your save if it has more than one version (this is also the case with bugfix releases, you might have noticed it). Also, if an update changes behav...

Re: Map Editor instructions

Oh, that's really not nice of that Kewlhotrod character! How dare they answer, but not give a perfect explaination of everything? Really, I don't think there is an official documentation that covers all the features of the editor. Keybindings specific to the editor can be found in the editor tab in ...

Re: New to Factorio two questions

True, you can simply load your save again, it will automatically be converted to the new version. That's usually no problem at all. However, I believe you won't be able to use the replay feature for this save if the game had different versions across the save's lifetime. I'm not sure why that's the ...

It's still available on Steam, so it's probably a technical issue or something. They removed the banner from the website, and maybe they unintentionally removed the article, too?

Re: Steam-only questions

1) [...]But what kind of things do you get when you have a membership account ? Basically you can just download the game from the website. This allows you to install older versions of the game, and you don't have Steam as DRM, but not really anything more than that. Before the Steam version, there ...

Re: Steam Workshop For Mods?

Probably not Steam Workshop though, but an independent system that does the same job, so those using the Factorio website (or later GOG) can also use it. At least I'm pretty sure they said this was their plan at some point. They'll probably talk about what their current plans are in future Friday Fa...

Re: Steam Keys available

Well, mainly just enabling the fans of Factorio to write Steam reviews before others could would have been close to manipulation anyway, so personally I'm glad Steam doesn't allow reviews without playtime. You don't need that, you'll probably get an overwhelmingly positive rating anyway just shortly...

Re: Friday Facts #126 - Steam Status II and Trains Stuff

Nice news! Congrats on the Steam page, I think it does an excellent job to show the quality of the game :) Just make sure you get rid of the few typos ;) I've only found 3 though. It's generally very well written imho. (I can send you the ones I've found if you want) I'm confident the game will get ...

Re: Friday Facts #124 - Steam Status I

Regarding Furnace Attendant and Mining Drill Operator tiers and means of thanking them: Furnace Attendants now have the scenario pack as part of the main game. I personally have received a great game from very open minded developers who care about their game and community, so it wouldn't be the end ...

This doesn't seem like a bad idea, but I still don't really like it. That's partially because I'm not sure I completely understand how it's going to be like when it's done. The problem that I see is these huge 1x1 blocks just make no sense at all. You have all these cool machines, but for simple tas...

Re: Does the game really need a story?

But if you have a nice mod, does it neccessarily have to be put in the game? It might just stay that: A mod which people can use if they like. If it doesn't fit into the original universe or if later vanilla content contradicts to it, no one needs to care. And if the mod is so great, you could in ma...

The new concrete looks really good, and so seems the spidertron. Obviously, I thought you were gonna add some kind of arachnoid enemies when talking about a surpsire with 8 legs ;) Awesome!
