Re: Gas Management
Well, I built the large-scale system. Here's some screenshots. Naturally, I'll be adding more and bigger tanks, but I can say from the initial test that these vanilla tanks filled up "damn fast". And from what I can tell, it works correctly. Rapidly venting any one of the tanks a...

Re: Gas Management
I think I already found a bug in the system. The backup hydrogen electrolyzer (on the right) should bypass the hydrogen overflow valve. Otherwise, I think it'll just run forever. [edit] Yep. That was the issue. The whole thing seems to work, but I'll have to implement it on a large scale to see if t...

Gas Management
Okay, so I'm trying to design a system which produces the basic four "free" gasses with the least amount of waste in the form of running machines constantly using energy. The raw material (air and water) may be free, but ideally, the machines should stop when there is enough gas in the sys...

Re: [0.15.x] Bob's Mods: General Discussion
Minor balance question. Why is there a recipe for making 100x hydrogen from 10x LPG plus water in 2.5 seconds? At first, I thought this might be cool for making solid fuel rather than using electrolysis, but looking closer, you get 50x hydrogen in 2.5 seconds from pure water and you don't have to bu...

Re: [0.15.x] Bob's Mods: General Discussion
I have a suggestion regarding salt. Could you make it so that the product buffer in the chemical furnace only makes 10 or so salt? I find it produces so incredibly fast and ends up building up stacks of excess if you ever take the machines down and relocate them. We don't need 100 salt inside the ma...

Re: [0.15.x] Bob's Mods: General Discussion
Yes, one of the latest updates to bobrevamp (and why it doesn't work with CMH and Angels who play with the same recipes) adds in a whole new rocket fuel chain, and makes edits to pretty much all the rocket part recipes (Though not the rocket silo itself) Fantastic. We've been waiting for things to ...

Re: [0.15.x] Bob's Mods: General Discussion
Hey Bob how long do you think the second pass will take to finish? And then what is the plan after that? It already is finished. Plans for the future... right now, there aren't really any. It's nice to be able to breath again. I guess the current plan is to watch out for mod breaking base game chan...

Re: [0.15.x] Bob's Mods: General Discussion
I'm beginning to understand now. so if you load this blueprint in vanilla... before 0.15.17, it would work and be placed as is, even though you shouldn't be able to configure inserters like that. Since 0.15.17, although the blueprint will still be there, the inserters won't have those right angles ...

In case anyone ever questions why Bob's inserters are superior:
That's 96 electric furnaces!
INB4 "Yellow belts!" Yes, this is just a layout prototype.

Re: [0.15.x] Bob's Mods: General Discussion
I used the bob's ammo and it was really good before we had uranium ammo. It is really heavy on process to get it - it might be a bit overdone. I recall main issue was insane wood consumption of it - it was eating up more then electronics or on similar levels. It was some time ago and I'm not sure i...

Re: [0.15.x] Bob's Mods: General Discussion
Weirdly, all my "Grenade Damage" research has been reset. I'm positive I've researched the first two levels a few days ago. Weird fluke? Some update cause it? Just thought I'd mention it. Question: So, Bob's custom bullets... The ones you make with cordite. I've never tried these, but I'm ...

Re: [0.15.x] Bob's Mods: General Discussion
Just noticed that the Nitric Acid recipe uses regular water instead of pure water.
I'm guessing this would be a pure water thing?

Re: [0.15.x] Bob's Mods: General Discussion
What happened is Long Reach's settings got reset somehow. I had the same thing happen, but if you just go to the settings (even with your game running) and update the range numbers, it's all good again. Thanks for the tip, I didn't even know you could do this. Any idea what the default range for Lo...

Re: [0.15.x] Bob's Mods: General Discussion
Hey Bob, I've been a lurking fan of your mods for a while now, keep up the great work. I wanted to hop on and report that when I updated your mods this morning (June 1st, 2017), that I believe it may have caused a conflict with Long Reach, when Long Reach was working fine just yesterday (May 31st, ...

Re: [0.15.x] Bob's Mods: General Discussion
My first 24 hours of a new map. http://imgur.com/a/TF7d5 Been refining my startup procedure, preparing for a highly organized base. I took screenshots periodically and am posting them to this album. So far, Bob's mods overall seem to be pretty well balanced. Naturally, there are cool improvements to...

Re: [0.15.x] Bob's Mods: General Discussion
Sulfur and Uranium both still stack to 50 where most ores stack to 200. Intentional? I never really consider sulphur an ore, more of an intermediate, which is why I never changed it. And I guess I just haven't looked at Uranium yet (since it's new). But I can make a stack size override for these tw...

Re: [0.15.x] Bob's Mods: General Discussion
Oh i asked something like that before too @Recon777. Invar and brass are heat resistant materials and the titanium is tough for the moving parts. Yeah, but it's an entirely different tech level. You get invar and brass LONG before titanium in the game. Incidentally, I figured what the heck since th...

Re: [0.15.x] Bob's Mods: General Discussion
Why do the Mk3 boilers require invar and brass, but the Mk3 steam engines require titanium? Seems to be quite the tech disparity there.

Re: [0.15.x] Bob's Mods: General Discussion
ewww. I recommend using RSO, to be honest. That mod has been tweaked to produce a pretty sweet Bob's Ores layout.
