Re: Friday Facts #168 - Nightvision Nightmare

The last paragraph somehow made my hopes go higher that we will not need to reboot the game every time a mod is added or updated. And the ideas for night or heat vision looks great as well, though I would prefer slightly lower glow on the borders.

Re: Friday Facts #165 - Death by a thousand cuts

An option menu for mods? All for it, because for big mods it is really bad to change things. Just today I tried rising the damage of Bobs laser turrets and it is quite a pain, not blaiming bob on that though. A damage coefficient for the laser turrets as a config option would really have helped.

Re: Friday Facts #162 - Theme Art Again

The multiplying of all liquids by 10 will mean all the tanks will be nearly empty, right? This might be pretty bad on the first start and a hand full of mod authors will have to change great parts of their mods.

Re: Friday Facts #161 - Infinite Research and Blueprint Library

Right, what would happen if you just called /c game.player.force.research_all_technologies() ? This would probably caus an error for many things.

Re: Hash for 0.14.7

Where did you download it from? There shouldn't be any sort of malware in Factorio obtained from the official distribution channels, and if there ever was the community would be in a gigantic uproar over it. Also, MD5 is well known to be unreliable for identifying file integrity because of how easy...

Re: Β½ lane splitter

The version from the link I posted does the same while using less parts: https://i.imgur.com/lsEagUO.png You are right, after some testing this version seems to do behave like my favored symmetrical version. Loaders are not enabled in vanilla Factorio so I wouldn't use them to balance lanes.. Or do...

King of the hill? Like, who is in a tank on the top of the hill? This could make nice strategies, sure.

Re: Friday Facts #159 - Research revolution - Liquid Wagon

The New Liquid Wagon looks great! However the engineering/physics of the look are off. :geek: The wagon has 3 tanks with filler ports at the top and a large pipe at the side of each tank running between them ( about half way up the tank). Then the two outer tanks have pipes (2x ?, on both sides?, w...

I like the new ideas, but (risking the majority will hate me) how about liquid science? This would sure add some interesting new logistics problems.

Re: Friday facts #158 - The end of the 32 bit era

I guess all 32 bit users should be allowed a refund. I'm almost certain that Factorio doesn't really work on a pure 32bit machine (early Pentium4's and AMD XP's from some 10-ish years ago at latest). Anyone else who for whatever reason doesn't have 64bit Windows (at some point you could get a free ...

Re: Version 0.14.10

To be fair 32 bit stuff is pretty old nowadays It certainly is, but Factorio is a game which also runs on quite Old PCs. And according to the steam HW Survey ~6% of the steam Users use win7 32bit. I'm really interested in the explanation of the devs for this drastic decision It may be that 6% of St...

Some of the plasma hits a robot, which lets the reactor fall, causing a big explosion.

I request an inventory of concrete to fill the crater.
