No error logs?

Hello,

while browsing forum, I encountered many players getting error logs. But when I have error in mod or something, the game just fall down without any error or error log. No console output when running through console, nothing. Those two logs that are present in factorio folder are quite empty ...

Re: [beta] Wagons: Electric Trains and Logicistics Carriages

Can you make artilery wagon?

Artilery or turret wagon? Turrets should be easy and I was thinking of adding them.
Both:D

Artilery could be good alternative to tower creep or megaultrapowerarmor. Just make armoured train and rails near enemy base and use it to shell spawners while gunning down ...

Re: [0.10.0] Burner as energy source doesn't work properly

Fixed for 0.10.11

Fixes to make assembling machine/lab with burner energy source possible.

This gives me an ideas .... :)

Anyway, there are couple of entities that could have been fixed to allow burner energy source in the future, we will do them once it is requested.

Laser turrets ...

Re: "Free belt system" versus "belt circuit"

Gamro: It is quit easy. Make more wagons with different properties. So you could pull out your supply train, that could fire on bitters and repair damaged tracks while manufacturing just another set of ammo.

Re: Splitters - only connected exits receive goods

Here is an example of how you could use it for making electronic circuits, for example.
Of course, you can do the same with a long-handed inserter, but the fast inserter is slightly faster (I think. correct me if I'm wrong :) ).
Adding another segment won't break anything here, but it would still ...

Re: Electric energy

Perhaps the waste could cause constant pollution even from inside a container, which would cause the player to have the same problem that we humans in real life do. What in the heck do I do with all this highly dangerous, super toxic, ultra hazardous, nuclear waste material?
But reactors don't do ...

Re: Make regular Inserters out of Burner Inserters.

Burner-inserters are actually quite usefull.

When you make smeltery line with belt with coal and ore, you can use burner inserter on that inner side effectively.

Re: [0.10.0] Can't smelt recipes with multiple ingredients

Rahjital: No, that wouldn't work.

Imagine you wanna smelt iron-copper alloy. So you build your smelter, you build your belts and inserter...

And one of them arrive sooner. And BAM, instead of iron-copper alloy you had smelted pure iron.

Kovarex: Yeah, but as assembling machines are themself ...

Re: [0.10.0] Burner as energy source doesn't work properly

Really? I was running burner-inserter line and haven't got a problem with them. They insert themselves only when they would normally insert stuff and then they decide if they are low on fuel to insert itself.

Burner-mod

I tried a bit of modding but due to game engine weirdness it don't work.

The idea was to utilize new self-fueling burner-inserter and expand burner-phase a bit. Namely with new low-level treefarm in Treemod, one could produce infinitely large source of burner-material.

However, without assembly ...

[0.10.0] Burner as energy source doesn't work properly

For entity type Assembling machine and entity type Burner lab, changing from electricity to burner doesn't work.

Assembly machine doesn't recognize the "burner" and still ask for electricity.
Lab doesn't show container for burner-source.

Burner lab and burner assembly machine

Hi all, I tried to make myself burner-lab. However, even when secondary input and fuel-inventory size are both set, there isn't any place for inputable fuel.

Similarly, assembly machine ignore the "burner" tag and proudly scream that it runs on electricity.

Re: Off-Topic discussions about Pro and Contra DRM plus meta

Change in mindset. We are glad to pay our money. Many people figured it out. If we like the product, we like to spend money on it and even spend money to be "part of community".

Books: Neil Gaimman have proof of that.
Music: Many proofs, eg. muscians give their music free on internet and then make ...

There are so many aspects to this...

Normally when you buy something you have some rights as a consumer thanks to your national consumer protection laws. This often looks something like a right to have a broken/defective product "repaired, replaced or refunded". Buying games over the web usually ...
