Re: [0.10.x] Terminal Chests
Are there any known bugs in the chests not accepting items from dytech belts? Sometimes when I place a chest it will not load any items from a 5th tier dytech belt(green), but sometimes it does. In one case, with Iron Plates, it accepts from one side of a belt but not the other.

Myabe if it said "is only useable", it looks like there is some kind of modifier missing, some might assume 'only', some might assume 'not'.

Re: single or double belt lines between furnaces?
... First, to justify the jump, you need an effectivity module level 3 or 2 level 2s. Otherwise, staying with steel furnaces is a no brainer (if you don't have access to fuel, then you should either restart or install the Tree mod for infinite tree supply - "upgrading" to electric furnace...

Re: single or double belt lines between furnaces?
Interesting upgradable design. I tend to move straight from smelting at the miner to electric furnaces, so I have had no real need to build a complex burner smelter plant. As for speed of long inserters, if we add something like dytech into the mix with better furnaces and modules, these long insert...

single or double belt lines between furnaces?
I am opening a new thread because the previous was not in an appropriate subforum, nor was it appropriately titled for my question. Here is the post that got me wondering: Smelters also looks almost like mine setup) http://i.imgur.com/oo21AZc.png So, does the use of long inserters here cause a lower...

Re: Effecient mining setup for robots
Very nice burnhard... That reminds me of the magnasanti from Sim City. I tried to replicate that city once, it was an amazing failure in replication but still the most dense city I ever managed to build without cheats. Now I need to go watch the video for the awesome music that had people flagging ...

Re: Mod filename rules for 0.10.7 and later
What is with all the zip file name stuff, the zip file is for backup, and unzipped directory goes in the mods directory? given proper naming of the mod zip, folder, and information given in the info.json, Factorio is capable of loading the mod from the zip, no need to unzip it. My guess as to the f...

Re: How can you avoid gridlocks at a train circle?
I have been wondering, in that center criss-cross section, does the signal on the horizontal line block trains from entering the criss-cross if a train is on one of the turning tracks? Since it is not a connected segment, is there any way the signal would know about trains in the criss-cross?

What % of Factorio games are on the different platforms: Windows % Linux % Mac % I'd think Windows would be by far the biggest, but now I'm wondering... It would be hard to know this definitively. They could count how many auto-update on each platform, but that is unreliable as it requires players ...

It looks like you have trains going both directions on the same side of a double track? Why have the double track if you have trains going both directions on one?

Yes, but it shows it is technically possible to even out lanes. I was only refering to that, not worrying about throughput.

Re: Train-Freeway-Signal
I think the O.P. was willing to risk collisions in order to avoid using signals.
Personally, I think the low cost of signals makes it not much of a problem, unless you do not understand how signals work in the first place.

Re: 4 belt balancer
What I found much more difficult is to balance the sides of the belts, the lanes. Technically sometimes not possible. :) To balance, first put all items on one side, I usually use a quick turn followed by a turn back after skipping a single belt to force everything onto one side. Next, run the inpu...
