Re: Newish LPer stepping out

Ha! Improper English is my specialty... LOL BTW - Got a new episode up. Please excuse the microphone pop at the beginning. Still learning the quirkiness of this mic. Usually I just do the recording with OBS and use the internal noise gate and it is sufficient. I want to start recording the audio wit...

Re: Newish LPer stepping out

The new mic is definitely awesome! The latest episode is a bit too loud I think. I have to find a good position for the mic. I recorded that episode with minimal gain and the mic about a foot from my face. I got alot of fan noise from my PC so I moved the case as well. I will be recording a new epis...

Re: Let's Play Dytech

Thanks for the uploads! I will definitely have to use the dytech mod on my next series as well. Do you find it improves things or do you use the improvements as a crutch?

Newish LPer stepping out

I've been doing some LP videos of factorio for awhile now and have one season done and about 1/2 way through with season 2. Please check out some of the videos in my playlist and let me know what you think. I'm no where near the caliber as say Arumba or Fish but I definately enjoy playing the game a...

Re: Using a main conveyor track.

I would suspect the one conveyor idea would work if you had smaller lines run off of the main line or if you have a smart inserter putting the items into a chest. Also, I suspect what a circular system would look like.

Re: A "Co-op" style playthrough, would you watch?

I love the idea Fish. If you've got space I'd throw my hat in as a potential tuber. I'm not an expert by any means but I think that will add to the fun of it like you've said. Let me know the details and I count me in. The only limitation I may have is I will be unavailable next week since I'll be a...

Packing/Unpacking Assembly

Either through current assemblers or with a separate facility allow the merger of 2,3, & 4 items to create one item that can be moved by inserters, train, etc. For instance if I want to get batteries, engines, and plastics from one end of my factory to the other I can have them as inputs to a pa...

Re: One Large Factory or Smaller Specialized Ones?

Thanks for the replies everyone! I suppose the general consensus is larger bases are better for ease of use and defensability. I might try the smaller bases on a separate playthrough to test it out and see how it goes. My general idea is to treat the game like true to life factories are. Usually whe...

One Large Factory or Smaller Specialized Ones?

I was thinking of trying a different tack with my next let's play series. Normally it seems most people have a main line of plates and create lines for steel, etc to feed intermixed assembly machines. I was thinking of having just one main line of raw plates, oil, and coal. What I would do then is c...

Re: Deleting items from inventory

though a recycling plant would be amazing, something you'd need science pack 3 to research, allowing you to disassemble items. you put an item into it, and the output will be a 50%-75% of the items used to make it. that would be really fun to play with. This would be awesome! Come on Devs get to cr...

Re: Factorio Lets play

It's strange: every let's play I saw in the last two month didn't know, that poles can be placed while running, like belts... It's not obvious(like most things in this game :p) I only found this recently. I assumed that if I tried to place poles while running it would put them next to each other. I...

Jobeo thanks for the pic. I've been meaning to move to solar panels for my power and kill my dependence on coal. How did you handle things prior to constructor bots? Just manually do the build?
