Train not moving with clear path
Hello, opencircut74 here and I have been experiencing some problems with a train system. I have looked at the FAQ page and thought this was a separate issue. I have an extensive liquid train and all of the stops work except the last stop to my base and my base to the first stop. I added an extra rai...

I can sum up your issue in 3 bullets... Use the trains Think more volume for iron and copper WTF belts from 100 miles away Let me fiddle and Ill send the save back. You need to go back to square one. By that I mean you need to reevaluate and remake your most basic supply lines. This means updating ...

Re: Tired of lazy robots?
I feel like there is a missing piece to this conversation. I would love to look at your save and use it to demo some ideas that may help you. If you want to us the save, go ahead. It has a few mods you will need to install though. Mods- Electric Furnaces, Electric Void,Flare Stack, Flow Control, Wa...

Wouldn't you need to pick up the alien artifacts? That would be exceedingly annoying.bobingabout wrote:the advantage of using turrets:

Re: Tired of lazy robots?
Bots are not limited by a items per space like belts. Assuming you have infinite bots, you have infinite capacity to move items. There is no efficiency argument to be had given that Space is unlimited and resources are essentially infinite. If you insist on playing with self imposed limitations the...

Re: Pump-jacks make way too much pollution
Back on the pollution problem. I don't see why the pump makes so much pollution. It is a sealed system with an electric motor pumping oil out of the ground. Electric motors themselves barely produce any pollution and a sealed pump will not produce any more, but somehow they produce 40+... To fix you...

Re: Electric energy
I'm afraid this description is a little off. There is no great difference in transmission losses between DC and AC at the same voltage (although DC definitely has the advantage at higher voltages and greater distances - refer to HVDC ). The primary distinction and where this common misconception co...

Re: Tired of lazy robots?
What is the benefit to mixing belts and logistic chests this way? You output mines to a belt which are then inserted into log chests, and then your log chests are emptied to a belt which is then picked up into smelters. Why not just have the mines output to provider chests and the smelters get thei...

Re: Electric energy
Actually the idea of an electric pole taking energy is not far off from real life. In real life, there are two kinds of electric current. Alternating Current (AC) and Direct Current (DC). Assuming that the steam engine puts out Direct Current, I can safely say that everything in the base is run off ...

Re: Tired of lazy robots?
I have already automated express belts, so that is not a problem. Also, I did not want to use more resources on chests when I don't have to. Yes, it does take up a lot of power, but it gives me the luxury of being able to place furnaces anywhere without the problem of conveyor belts getting in the w...

Tired of lazy robots?
Are you tired of lazy robots that sit around in the roboport all day? To fix the problem, all you have to do is set up one of these!

Re: Robots
I am referring to basic logistic robot jobs, such as taking materials out of active provider chests and putting them in storage chests. I am worried that a glitch occurred because I had 1500 robots working and all of a sudden that number went down to 500.

Hello, Opencircut74 here and I would like to see if this is a bug or not. Since the instructions are REALLY confusing and don't tell me where to find the BBCode, I will just upload the whole file. Here is the problem. One day, I was setting up and automated robot factory machine when all of a sudden...
