With the max 40% Productivity upgrades on cracking (you would need beacons) the 2xbasic oil processing gives a more respectable 38.96 gas but is still beaten by 4xadvanced oil processing giving 42.72 gas.

I don't use them till I get to rocket silos which gets 40% productivity. Then I work back as needed.but never far back up the production chain.

I know it's better most I've seen but it does get a little messy in the middle. I was thinking of trying factor in research cost and using that to spread it out a bit. It's just a pain to pull the data out of the lua files. If I can get the layout nice I'll work on adding more info into it, research...

So I tried to play Marathon a few times and ran into the same problem I would around 20x Burner Miners and 10x Stone Furnaces and be ready to start get my first tech and I would be over run by waves of monsters that I could not fight off with my pistol.
