Maybe a dev can tell what makes the preview method so special? It eats CPU cores for breakfast :) You can try reducing the used thread count: Main menu -> ctrl + alt click on settings -> the rest -> search for max-map-preview-threads -> decrease the number. Yeah again like 100 hours in a game without a single crash. I literally had to use a different computer to generate a map for me :P

Maybe a dev can tell what makes the preview method so special? Does it use different instructions?

im currently too close.

60-70cm only, new custom build desktop is on the way... then i will be around 80 or 90cm

im seeing the minimap as what it is.. a minimap (only gives you rough overview where you are)

i still wonder why this happens in normal game.

I mean normal if something is "in the way" it gets removed by bots, why not fish?

I mean via hand i can just place dirt above fish, but via "ghost" i cant...? :roll:

why is that not already implemented? It would be so cool if you could "auto request" missing stuff. Make it hard, make it costly, make it late game, but include it! :D - special research, maybe even different tiers like max 50 requestet items on tier 1 (you get the point) - maybe you need ...

yeah, but it only happens in factorio. it said i should share it, so there you are.

And also not only in factorio, it also ONLY happens while creating a preview of a map.

you can do it, theres a hidden option somewhere and it works like a charm (i dont udnerstand why they dont put a checkbox somewhere tho)

i wanna start a new map, i got some bluescreens while tryin to preview maps in singleplayer so i decided to go to multiplayer to create a map...

then i got a "Unexpected error occurred"

So i guess i have to manually write and know the english names of the items instead of picking it from the "image" selector on the right... :roll: I always selected the items there.

im coming from mod authors, logistics is a vanilla feature (mods only enable use to use it) and linked logistics would be needed to be added by devs, the possibilty to have linked logistics is currently not implemented in the factorio engine. i literally linked to a mod that does exactly what you a...

So if provider WOULD provide at 1 stack and requester WOULD request 10 stack it would only send when there are 10 stacks avaible, this just sounds logic. So you could have one station request 1 stack, one station request 5 stacks, one station request 20 stacks... which could be all fullfilled by ON...
