Re: Friday Facts #381 - Space Platforms
I love it!
Except for one thing that seems a little weird: Building purely by ghost.
I can understand why the platform shouldn't have logistic bots, but why couldn't it have construction bots? It feels like a break in realism...OK, OK, I already know what you're thinking. :D
But normally ...

Very nice changes ! The new toolbar icons look so tiny though
I hope they will get bigger in the release

I also wonder how the dependency technologies work with this trigger system : what happens if I try to mine uranium before researching concrete ?

Re: Friday Facts #376 - Research and Technology
Wow ! Excellent.
Some feedback :
- Having to research through many technologies before getting one valuable item is something I generally hate in mods, I prefer less but more powerful technologies. So I'd like to see radars and repair packs , and even lamps , under one, more expensive, "Base ...

Re: Friday Facts #375 - Quality
Oof, I read the fff several times and I remembered clearly seeing quality before item name. So yeah, after all, I don't care about the quality names...

[...]
Normal
Good
Enhanced
Exceptional
Perfect
Ok. That's my naming suggestion, made up of many of the previous suggestions.
So, "Good big electric pole", oh yeah, "Enhanced advanced circuit", what ?, "Exceptional small electric pole", huh, is it exceptionnaly small ? Sorry, it sounds wonky ...

Re: Friday Facts #375 - Quality
Why is legendary better than epic? What does it mean?
It's a RPG / MMORPG trope. I never played World of Warcraft, but I know this Normal/Uncommon/Rare/Epic/Legendary thing from another games, like Secret World. You find loot killing enemies, and harder enemies drop better loot. Legendary loot ...

Re: Friday Facts #375 - Quality
I get your point, but that just depends on the naming you choose. Having 'advanced' quality of advanced circuit is obviously problematic, but there should be no problem if you choose it carefully.
There are many suggestions in the thread.
My proposal would be:
1 Advanced Circuit
2 Fine Advanced ...

Re: Friday Facts #375 - Quality
Sorry, I already voiced my opinion in favor of actual naming of quality using rpg rarity theme, but here's another thing : industry themed naming will clash with some vanilla items, and even more mod items.
"Standard advanced circuit" is confusing IMO. "Rare advanced circuit" is more clear. You get ...

Re: Friday Facts #375 - Quality
Hehe so much feedback, FFF definitely live again :)
Just want to say the quality names didn't bother me at all at first. Now that they're mentioned by many here, I gave it a thought. I think I actually prefer the WoW reference as is because I think it's fun. Sure, it doesn't fit the industrial theme ...

Re: Friday Facts #375 - Quality
This is interesting !
- I wonder if the quality info (the colored dots) visibility on entities will be togglable within the alt view, or if it's linked to alt view. The big green circuits setup is a bit hard to read now with so many information on screen.
- Recycling is a feature I usually don't ...

Re: Friday Facts #370 - The journey to Nintendo Switch
The first FFF were great because we were playtesting the game along. Can you imagine all those FFF without any release before 1.0 ?SHiRKiT wrote: Fri Sep 23, 2022 7:37 pm Of course this is not the same, but still the it was not 360 FFF saying "we're not ready", so yeah, that part makes no sense at all.

Re: Friday Facts #370 - The journey to Nintendo Switch
I love FFFs. But the reasons stated for stopping them are still valid. 50 FFF basically saying "we're not ready, soon" don't seem necessary. People, don't forget that FFF drained a lot of dev time
