Re: Train AI is not that smart!!!
this is basically answered already, but i just want to use some roadwork theory here. adding more lanes to your road, does not make cars go faster. Civil Engineers (or people in charge of Cities that actually know nothing about roads) tend to make this mistake. 'slap more lanes, that will fix it!'. ...

that makes some solid sense.British_Petroleum wrote:My guess is because you can easily place on the near side using a belt T-junction, so with the inserter as well you have a way of placing on either side
i'll go with that too.

a different sort of answer, but if you're looking for Mods a 'purely as intended experience' is not all you're interested in so: /c local surface = game.local_player.surface; for y=-0,0 do for x=-0,0 do surface.create_entity({name="crude-oil", amount=999999999, position={game.local_player....

in the more short term, as the things described here are certainly very cool and interesting - but also requires making a spiderweb of many games in one game: Map Generation could have a 'Random' button, that would select all map generation aspects randomly? random for your... random. idea being it ...

You can select a window and a specific area in it that's redrawn in a new window you can resize and position anyhow you like. That even works for windows that you have in the background behind others. things like this are why while often frustrating, Windows is also really cool. because someone the...

So single threaded performance has been stuck for several years now. It's a shame, and I'm hoping AMD can ignite another performance race with Zen. We shall see. i hope so too. it's actually mission critical to Computing that Zen is a success. if Zen fails, Consumer Computing is going to blow up pr...

No, they always have a 5x5 area around them with no resources. The question however, is whether or not you can fit the pipes to extract all the oil. It will be a tangled mess at the minimum, but it is at least theoretically possible for an oil puddle to have all 4 possible output slots blocked. you...

We´re not talking about the Minimap that person isn't either. more specifically that person said: - have another computer on the Server, as a Client, standing in the middle of your Factory, with the Map open. - have that machine Streaming the map so you can view the stream anywhere. though, you cou...

I really hope that support will remain for the actual mod zip to be hosted on github. Being able to tag a release on github and not have to re-upload the zip file another place is a nice feature i concur, Git (and other places like it) do a good job of making Software Development much less painful ...

yes, but the main conduits aren't what peoples' homes are connected to.BlakeMW wrote:Well the major trunklines already are fibre optics.

Well, it's basically as easy as adding a mod. It's not like the belt graphics are that hard to edit, either. if people were more than fine with making a Mod to do this, they'd just make a Mod rather than ask for mechanics to change in vanilla :p that's the way i see it that is. unless 'it' is consi...

because of the significant Range advantage, what this really means if you ask me is that if you have a wall of turrets behind a wall for example, having some Gun Turrets in there will help Kill the Enemies that get close faster. but that Range is still a significant benefit, as you can apply Damage ...

just like any other Multiplayer game - if you're located incredibly far away from the Server or something, and playing on that Server causes significant issues for everyone - then you definitely don't belong there. there's many other people you could play with, that are located closer or have a more...

yep, it's very helpful for the Player to actively go out and attack Bug Bases. more Bases means more Pollution related attacks. especially since Bugs 'reproduce' in a sense, making new Bases periodically. if left alone, eventually there will be quite an alarming density of Bug Bases. very important ...

My suggestion was to illustrate this fact graphically, which would happen to also make the belt color a bit more prominent. The belt color is not the actual issue here, though. which would be great (if that fixes the 'issue' for people) as long as it's optional. something like a new menu that has s...
