Re: Train path check on Intersections
Haha, that is a great intersection.... for all the wrong reasons.
As stated, you need to simplify.

First guess, just not enough oil. Second guess, polluted pipes.

Re: My tale of woe (train signal problems)
I'm sure there is a "good place" to use two way trains, but in my experience it comes down to poor planning. One way is easier and better.

Re: Station bug or intended behavior?
It's just rubber duck debugging. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rubber_duck_debugging HAHA. I didn't realize a name had been given to this process, but not particularly surprised one was. I did this occasionally as a network engineer. I would start explaining the problem to a co-worker, who was not ...

Re: Solar/Nuclear/Steam energy
I believe the ratio is still .84 accumulator to solar panel. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong. All the accumulators and solar panels need to be connected to the power grid. They don't need to be near each other. Personally, I go from steam power to solar and stick with it. It is just e...

Re: Simple Questions and Short Answers
When I make a new blueprint and save it, it gets added to my inventory. I've made a few and so I have three or four just sitting in my inventory that I don't need to use again for now. How do I get rid of them from my inventory without deleting them also from my blueprint library? Right click on th...

Re: Why train is not entering empty space?
Looks like maybe the approaching train turns the first signal yellow allowing the second to go green early enough that the train doesn't need to slow down?

Re: Why train is not entering empty space?
To fix the problem you need to basically force the train to recalculate its path right before the stations. Good solution to this is having 2 consecutive signals right before the first chain signal (where the train is waiting on your screenshot), with last one set to close whenever the first one is...

I've always been surprised how so few of the YouTubers I have watched use poison capsules for tree clearing -- it has always been my prefer method.

Re: What's wrong with my Oil/Chemicals setup
The station looks great. Yeah, a two track system can handle a much larger load. It also takes a lot more space. But once you have the ideas down, you'll never go back.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Re: Help biters
Angelbob marathon was a mistake. Yeah, that combo with biters sounds like a recipe for disaster. If you were very familiar playing with Angel's and Bob's, and knew how to do things extremely efficiently you might pull it off, but it would be tough. I have mixed feelings about biters. I feel they ma...

Additionally, you have some serious coal shortage problems which are about to cause crippling power shortage problems. You should be loading into and out of the train cargo wagons from and into chests. Here is a screenshot of a typical loading station (this one has fancy wiring to load eve...

Re: What's wrong with my Oil/Chemicals setup
Okay, the 5 oil pumpjacks you have just south of the base, there is a busted connection just above where the tank and pump are. Those pipes are not supplying the base. The good news is that there is a build up of 14k oil in the tank. The bad news is when you fix the connection, the base burns throug...
