[0.12.x][v0.12.8] Bob's Ore Mod.
This mod adds new ore fields for the following new ore types: Tin, Silver, Gold, Galena (Lead), Tungsten, Bauxite (Aluminium), Zinc, Rutile (Titanium ore), and Quartz. It also adds the optional ores Nickel, Cobalt and Sulfur configurable in config.lua. Since Nickel ore is a requirement for Bob's Met...

Re: More Trains.
Steam trains don't fit the theme. "Diesel train" doesn't fit the functionality. Exactly. and if you have a pump to fill a vehicle, you can use the same thing to pipe in water for a steam engine, diesel for a diesel engine, or oil, or other liquids to a cargo tanker (as an alternative to b...

Re: More Trains.
Steam trains don't fit the theme. You say that, but we already have steam engines in the game to produce electricity. the only real difference between a steam engine there, and a steam locomotive is that instead of using the power to produce electricity, you're using the power to produce forward mo...

New Locomotives and Wagons, More Trains.
Diesel Locomotive, that burns wood/coal/fuel blocks... it just feels wrong. I havn't read this myself, but was told that the reason a Diesel Locomotive runs on coal is because it would be too difficult to get going for the level it was intended for, so was made easier by just burning fuels instead. ...

Re: Modular Inserters
in my opinion, we need a fast long arm inserter. when you get to the high speed stuff like express belts, the long arm inserter becomes useless, which limits your factory layouts a fair bit. in my opinion, fast long arm inserter would be a good thing, long arm smart inserter too, but also options fo...

You could also look at it that if the line IS backed up, what would be going down that second backed up line gets pushed down the other clear line instead anyway, so things do sort themselves out.

Re: Building train bridge
I don't think underwater, or underground would work for trains in this game as it currently is... over water bridges, as the original post says, would be a very good idea.

Re: The way the research screen pops up when completed....
I agree... it pops up right when you least want it to more often than not. middle of a fight... just as i'm about to get run over by a train! and one of the worst for me... I spend a moment planning what i'm about to build, measure everything out... then it interupts me and i have to measure it out ...

Re: Rename Splitter to Mixer
It's a multifunction device, if it was named mixer, some people might not realise it can be used to split the belt traffic.
Coming up with a good name that describes most possible functions isn't as easy as it sounds.
