You can obviously ship either copper or bullets directly to the platform, which most people have to do until they get to research that allows them to do this: https://wiki.factorio.com/Metallic_asteroid_chunk#Alternative_recipes

Re: To suck or blow? How to clean the inside of your Factorio rig?
I used to maintain PC's in pet stores. They were regular PC's, so they didn't have fancy "gaming computer" cases. As a result, these computers would get filled with very thick layers of dust and pet hair. Sometimes it was so thick that I could peel off large pieces of dust and hair with my fingers ...

To suck or blow? How to clean the inside of your Factorio rig?
I inadvertently started a debate in another thread about vacuuming vs blowing the insides of our computers clean... So, what do you prefer? Sucking or blowing, and why?

Re: How to diagnose desktop crash (Mint)?
Thanks for the link, but that's not a primary source. I have yet to find a reliable source that what you're saying is true. Why wouldn't the plastic nozzle of an air blowing thing not produce the same amount of static electricity? I do have a basic knowledge of physics, and I can't figure out ...

Re: How to diagnose desktop crash (Mint)?
I haven't seen this problem happen since I swapped out my graphics card 9 days ago. I'm going to chalk this particular problem up to hardware. Thanks for the help!

I have to say, that I don't know of a single other commercial game that lets people keep and play all previous versions of the game. That's so awesome.

Too much how? I could fit 4 of these on my larger platforms!
Also, standard rockets work for early end game, but later on, you definitely want red if you're going to get anywhere near the shattered planet. You don't need the extra explosive force of the yellow rockets, because you have updated ...

Re: How to diagnose desktop crash (Mint)?
I've been running this software + hardware combo for a few years without any problems, so I would be surprised if there was a software issue, especially after finding those errors that seem to point to a hardware problem. Luckily, I had an extra video card laying around (Radeon RX 6600), so I ...

Re: How to diagnose desktop crash (Mint)?
Never seen those errors before! It looks like a GPU driver issue/crash; whether this is due to a Hardware issue is something you would need to determine. It does not look like a PCIE disconnect/reconnect - you would probably experience a total system power-reset - so I don’t think re-seating the ...

5.15 kernel doesn't sound like most recent Linux Mint. Please show result of the following command:
inxi -Fm
Install inxi package if it throws error.
There's an active 5.15.x kernel track and a 6.8.x kernel track, and I use the more conservative one. The 5.15.x kernel is supported through ...

Re: How to diagnose desktop crash (Mint)?
Thanks for the suggestion! I found this in /var/log/syslog. My guess is that I need to get a new graphics card (or at least re-seat my existing one). I have to wonder if my biggest platform made it melt a little bit...?

I'd just like to add that since these "achievements" are both arbitrary and imaginary, I'm happy to send out "achievements" to anybody requesting them. It looks like this setting does exactly what I wanted: it automatically subscribes the user when they post a new topic. Thanks for the help!

How to diagnose desktop crash (Mint)?
A few times now, when I'm looking at something in the game where there's a lot going on (biggest platform on its way to shattered planet), my entire OS has completely crashed. It looks like my desktop (Cinnamon) dies, because I get a login box (but I can't actually log in). There are no Factorio ...

Re: Is the recycler honest?
I'm (very) late game, and in trying to create Legendary versions of almost everything, I'm running into instances where a single chest (all 48 slots) feeding an assembler of some kind does sometimes run out of one kind of material if it's being fed by a recycler. Even in that case, I'm relatively ...

Re: Severe lack of explanations in game!
The base game has good documentation. The (excellent) demo walks you through all of the basic mechanics of the game, and then there is in-game help for the rest of it.
