Re: Friday Facts #280 - Visual Feedback is the king
Since the blueprint menu is gone, how will steinios toolbox be affected? Will mods be able to add custom items to the tool bar selection list?

Re: Bugs & FAQ
how do I get the animals that appear in bioprocessing? puffers, fish, etc.? The recipes to breed them always require some animal as a starter. So I assume I should be able to find it when exploring, like the trees and gardens, but that is not what is happening. Is there some mod dependency I am mis...

Are you saying that reporting the resource as depleted before it has been completely provided is intended behavior?

Just a quick one: For Fermentation Process, the recipes show acetic acid as the result of anaerobic fermentation and ethanol as the result of aerobic fermentation, when it should probably be the reverse ( "Because yeasts perform this conversion in the absence of oxygen, alcoholic fermentation i...

Timing issue with Auto Deconstruct
Auto Deconstruct marks miners for deconstruction after all the resources beneath it have been extracted. However, miners have a small timing issue whereby they will register as having no resources before they have dropped the last bit of resource. Observe: 31 stone are available to the miner. https...

And of course wiring operations generate no events. Probably just as you were trying to get though my skull. Time for more thought, and possibly a dev request or two.

Re: Wiring Pencil
Okay, the items (along with custom eye-bleeding sprites), recipe, technology, and wire rotation parts are done. But that was the easy part. Now I just need to figure out how to emulate or delegate the actual wiring operations. I can try a bit of wire switcheroo and invoking the appropriate event(s),...

Re: Wiring Pencil
Looking deeper it does seem that there is in fact no way to perform the appropriate interactions in Lua, e.g. see which end of a combinator was clicked, or to tell if the wire is too far to connect.

Re: Wiring Pencil
I don't know, after a quick flip through at the Lua API it looks like you could use LuaEntity::{,dis}connect_neighbour() to implement this.

Wiring Pencil
Since power wires are essentially free with power poles and blueprints make circuit network wires almost completely free, it makes sense to me to have a reusable, all-in-one tool that can apply wires of any type. Enter the wiring pencil . It is a tool with a one-time-cost that can apply or break pow...

Re: Friday Facts #257 - NPE/Campaign update
Shallow water would be awesome for one thing: A really cheap landfill that can be crafted from stone *or* hand crafted very, very slowly from nothing. That way you cannot get stuck on an island with no way off. Or just have it so that you can create shallow water from regular water by mining it for...

Please consider implementing it similar to Cut and paste tools so that the entities aren't marked for deconstruction until the new print has been pasted.kovarex wrote:The cut paste is similar. Ctrl+X also allows you to select an area, but as a bonus, it also marks it for deconstruction.

Re: [0.16] The Blueprint Lab 0.2.4
Great work so far. If I could make a suggestion though, it would be awesome if the mod saved quickbar filters on exit and restored them on enter. Compatibility with Quickbar Switcher would be a plus.
