Re: I'm new here

http://www.introversion.co.uk/prisonarchitect/ is a good example I find. There you get a key for steam but you also have access to the mac/linux/pc drm free builds via the site. Currently this seems to be the most popular method for most indie games.

Re: About gun turrets

I would like to see additional research that increases the amount of ammo per clip. If after a few ranks of research you then had 30 bullets per clip that would certainly ease the situation. I also think the balance is off on the cost to performance of the ammo in the first place and this would help...

Logistic bot sound effect

Can we please get an option to turn this sound off? It is the most annoying sound in the game currently and is driving me up the wall to the point where I'm playing with all sound off.

Re: Friday Facts #41

"special note" there is no 32bit processors in production for years, 8-16gb memory is common. Anecdotal evidence I know, but from personal experience most people aren't ready to upgrade simply due to the cost. The enthusiast crowd has almost all moved over to 64bit at this point in the cy...

Re: Paysafecard and Presentation

The menu system on the website is awful. You need to move the text down so that when the menu expands it does not move other elements of the site. Apart from that, well done.

Really? In Firefox it's readable.
Readable in Chrome as well.

I noticed greenlight getting mentioned a lot recently in regards to steam but personally with a proven title to your names I would just submit to steam as normal. I doubt there will be any issue getting Factorio straight through without having to mess around.

Re: Some suggestions(or may be even requests)

I'm referring to the map showing names. For current multiplatform stations you can indeed have a very neat layout but when you go to map view it will become an unholy mess when it tries to render all the station names. If it is in fact a single station with platforms it is no stretch of the imaginat...

Re: Some suggestions(or may be even requests)

1. Electric train should be end-game vehicle for transportation on very long distances. It should have low electric capacity and be recharges constantly via electric tracks. And what makes it better that steam then? 2. Renaming stations? Oh yes! 3. Surprisingly, I am against this. It is possible to...

2. Renaming of stations to meaningful names (ie coal mines west, main hub east) No. As much as i want this feature, I don't think it should be added. One of the perks of of paying more for the game is getting a station named after you. Perhaps we can nicknames that show up under the name or somethi...

Re: Some suggestions(or may be even requests)

Bumping this rather than creating a new topic since it covers similar ground just maybe in more depth for a point or two. After another couple of games I've really begun to notice how limiting the current transport network is. I've attempted to list the biggest issues (as I see them) below in the ho...

I think it was just the language barrier making things a little less clear. I understand what you are saying now though.

You don't need to pick it up again. As I said above, just mouse "over" the machine and press the rotate button, it will do it's magic even when placed.

Re: Add pipe input/output sign for assembly

Seeing as you can just mouse over the item and then press R to rotate it after building, is it really needed?

Re: If you thought tower creeping was dull...

I still think just one changes would solve all this problems: Building time for turrets and biters. You place a new turret (or a logistic bot does this, doesn't matter), and the turret need 3 to 5 seconds to fully deploy. It can be attacked, but not attack for himself. The same for biters, but with...

0.10 is incremental to the build number 0.9, as in ten from nine.

If that was cheeky sarcasm that I misread then my bad ;)
