Re: Is 20 the final price?
I'm thinking about doing a donation because I have over 1300 hours in game. I can see on the factorio site some other people have done donations but I can't find where I can do that. Just buying the game on the factorio site has an option to tip extra, but I already have the game so I don't really w...

Re: Trying to place a trainstop makes game crash
The rail entities are 2x2 and you're playing them at a distance of 1, but that shouldn't crash the game.
Also, have you tried without the other mods?

Re: Errors on lua-api.factorio.com?
Thanks, I can see the differences in structures. As far as I can see the structure in game.player.force.recipes looks all the same, or at least the same enough for me. I've dumped the data for all recipes, technologies, entities, items and fluids to try to make my own calculator tool. All the tools ...

Errors on lua-api.factorio.com?
If you look at http://lua-api.factorio.com/latest/Concepts.html#Ingredient you see amount :: uint: Amount of the item. But when you execute this, /c game.player.print(game.player.force.recipes['processing-unit'].ingredients[3].amount) The output is 0.5 for the sulfuric-acid to make a processing unit...

Re: Biggest factory, my computer can handle 2.0 [In Progress]
Under 60% power is enough to make the waterwell water production drop under 60 water/sec and make the power drop more. Normally when I build something big and some big energy consumers kick in, I can have big drops. Constructing/deconstructing big parts with construction robots can cause problems. A...

I haven't used it, but maybe a square root calculator can be nice.
See viewtopic.php?f=193&t=43415 for a place where to use it.

Re: LUA: Access the replay data stream?
You can try to reverse-engineer the savegame :) It's just a zip archive with files in it. Someone asked about the level.dat in this thread, https://forums.factorio.com/viewtopic.php?t=8568&p=68027 I've looked a little in a savegame myself, in the level.dat is a (part of?) log of the console. Whe...

Re: Biggest factory, my computer can handle 2.0 [In Progress]
I've already made a small improvement. I noticed the coal production didn't run well to fill the belt when there's really not enough power most of the time. I've moved the sr latch a little up and placed a second sr latch to check the belt contents. H4sIAAAAAAAA/+VabW+jOBD+KxWfwwq/QBLtcb/hvq9OiIKTWk...

There's a solution for that. Build a self sustaining and self protecting power plant. I just realised I do need waterwell mod also because making 5 water in 5.5 seconds for 400kW is just to expensive

Re: Biggest factory, my computer can handle 2.0 [In Progress]
Ah, that's what I forgot :) I also started a new game like yours without resources and with a little less mods. I'm using dark matter replicators, factorissimo2 and launch control. For the start I didn't add 500 of each tenemut, iron plate and copper plate. I calculated what I would need for the abs...

Re: [MOD 0.14.x]Helmod: Assistant to plan its base.
I found a little bug.
When the planner is open and the game makes an autosave and I later I open the autosave where the planner is open, the only button the planners reacts to is the close button.

Re: Biggest factory, my computer can handle 2.0 [In Progress]
- Start replicating solid fuel, cause coal is inefficient (For 1MW of generated power, 250kW goes for coal replication). Coal has 75% efficiency and solid fuel has 87.5% efficiency. How did you get those numbers? I see a simple replicator can make coal. Recipe time is 2.5 seconds and crafting speed...

There's a key you can press to activate a menu and setup the grab and drop positions after you've done the research for it.
In the menu where you can change what keys do what there's a tab to see all keys bound to mods.

Re: Autolaunch for modless server/single player
Oh, nice :) Btw, I forget to say, I've only tested this with savegame, haven't tryed scenarios. I can't test scenario before the weekend. Also, this script is what I've added to the standard control.lua in the savegame I have for single player game. You need to keep the original code also, so the to...

Autolaunch for modless server/single player
I've written a rocket autolauncher for servers where you don't want any mods. This works by editing the control.lua inside the savefile. The script is local function on_init() global.silos = global.silos or find_silos() global.ticks = global.ticks or 0 end script.on_init(on_init) local function on_c...

Re: Maximum power per coastal tile
240 engines * 510 kW each = 122400 kW = 122.4 MW
With all that beacons I use enough to see it's working correct, see the electric network info screen I've added.
Factorio is weird sometimes with numbers, satisfaction is 122 MW but the engines generate 121 MW.
