One might consider it as a cheat, for me it's just one step closer to reality. Because why would my Factorio man be unable to crawl under / climb over pipes for example.

Re: Foreman 0.1.9 - A factory optimisation tool.
The 5 seconds are correct, but I don't think there is anything in the tool that informs you that chemical plants craft at a rate of 1.25. Hence, 4 chem plants is correct. Thanks, didn't think of that :-) Auto seems to let it calculate stuff for you, but if you don't set at least one element to fixe...

Re: Foreman 0.1.9 - A factory optimisation tool.
Hi, I just started to use your tool, but stumbled across something I cannot understand. As in this oicture, I want to figure out the ratios of input sources for a given product, blue science in my case: https://www.mediafire.com/convkey/d451/lyb2k76yhm9blx24g.jpg Now it seems I dont understand how t...

Effects of saving energy
Hi Folks, I do have two questions regarding the consumption of electric energy. #1: Do structures that are running idle consume energy? For example, I tend to shut down my plants producing Basic goods like belts, inserters and the like once I have prdouced up to a certani buffer size. This is mainly...

Re: Wires should not be consumed
I agree with the OP. In my opinion, placing poles and wiring should be two seperate steps. Sometimes I need poles just to run my circuit wires along, not electric energy. The way it is it sometimes creates cable mess as the poles automatically connect with useless copper wires. Maybe there could be ...

Re: Very early r/g science factories
You can't run both the belt and the inserter assembler at full speed from a single gear assembler. What should happen over time is one of the two assemblers backs up, since they're being made faster than the green pack assemblers are using them, at which point the other gets their full share of the...

Re: Very early r/g science factories
You're right, it looks a bit more compact: http://i.imgur.com/3Vdqa3n.png Personally I strive to feed in only raw resources i.e. I would always make green circuits on site. Yours is very clean and "airy", from the lack of better word. I like how you managed to align all assemblers in one ...

Sorry, just to be sure - so 0.14.19 is now officially the latest stable version? Sorry, cannot find anything on the games hompage ... but since it's asking me whether to update or not at game launch, I suppose so ..

Re: [0.13.20] Mysterious signal blinking
Just a guess without seeing your screenie: you might have put that Signal right where the two rail lines are combinig in a Switch, see my professional ASCII art below :-). In that case the Signal cannot build a block, this it's blinking. You Need to set a Signal before and after the rails are joinin...

Re: "You have been defeated" - WTF??
Yes I know .. however, I think this was some higher level help for my decision to restart this game anyway. I'm like going through training levels at the moment, and with every new game I get a little further until reaching a state where my factoriy has turned into a logistical mess

Re: Combinators .. first hassle :-)
why isn't the inserter enabled? It's a useless inserter. Move the belt closer if you want it to pick something up. AAAAAHHHHHHHHHH! *facepalm* :-) lol I was so concentrated on Setting up the combinators that this Detail really skipped my Attention .. also the combinator really isn't doing much. it'...

Combinators .. first hassle :-)
Hi, I'm now starting to try to control my factory using combinators. For the first easy example, I would like to count the number of items in a box and activate an inserter if there is something in the box. Therefore I created a test setup, see below. From my basic understanding, the inserter should...

Rail signalling !@x***!@@x
Hi all, I already tried to figure this out by reading some threads regarding rail signalling, however it seems im too dumb obvious. Can someone please exlplain why in the follwonig exambple the trains cannot find a path???? This is just a comprehensive scheme of my first rail setup, and I simply wan...
