Trying to get this mod to work, but it doesn't seem to like my factory. I've had no problem creating small maps, but my factory is huge. It seems to generate the map fine, it will make the 20-30gb of jpg photos, but opening the index.html locally just resaults in a very small section of the top left...

Electric Belt idea
Keep the current yellow unpowered belt for starting a factory, then add a variable speed electric belt and a 1 tile electric motor. Electric motors placed on the righthand side of the conveyor seperate it into blocks like signals do for rails and you just click on a conveyor block and set the speed....

Could make the roundabout bigger and use standard signals not chain signals. - If the distance between each signal is large enough to hold a train and they separate the roundabout into 4 sections at a minimum, then trains wont bottleneck plus more then 1 train can go through it at a time. The game already knows what's missing as it tallies the missing items to send a report in the form of the exclamation point in the triangle. Can the bots just skip those items until available? Instead of destroying ice to build a pump, an interesting addition could be a building that harvests ice, sends it down a conveyor or whatever to an Ice Melter building to melt it into water to fill pipes. Catches being that the ice will slowly vanish off the conveyor (melt) if removed from the cold...

If this applied to trains as well, filling the cargo cars you're pulling, it would be awesome.
I honestly skip cars completely and go right to trains, laying track where I need to go and using them to bring my building supplies.

Just throwing it out there, but there *is* a way to mod the game without disabling steam achievements.
Just do it the old fashioned way:
Edit the games files in the install directory.
You'll have to redo it any time the game is updated as well.
