Re: Simple Questions and Short Answers
How can I exchange blueprints from one of my game to another? I'm currently copying the string in a txt file (naming it after the BP name) and then I reinject it into the new game when I need it, but it seems rather old school.

Exploring is a mistake...
The title is on purpose a bit 'teasing' ;)
If you explore or scan a lot, then the biters bases will over time expand and grow and you'll get in the end a sea of red nests everywhere. The area is basically condemned to expansion, barring massive efforts.

So for now, I'm a bit stranded in resources, and if I output more, pollution spreads too much. So I'm taking a low profile approach. I get some raids, but not too often.

Re: Simple Questions and Short Answers
Is the spawn rate of biters from their nest modulable somewhere? I play with death world settings, so that's perhaps the issue, but once they feel threatened, each nest spawns from 3 to 5 critters every couple seconds, so this makes destroying a large base nigh impossible, given the flood of ...

Playing at 'full speed'
I'm totally unable to play at 'normal speed' for myself. I find things too frantic, even in the absence of any attacks. When I'm engaged with the local lifeform, I need to slow down (with a mod).
I'm curious how you guys fare, if you don't play peaceful that is! Are you able to play at normal ...

Re: Simple Questions and Short Answers
Thanks, nice ideas.
About spitters and their splash damage. Am I right that it splashes only in the 4 cardinal directions and not diagonally, meaning that
(1) it's a bad idea to make a double wall, as the line behind gets damaged as much as the fore line
(2) dragon teeth / staggered layout works ...

Weird, I have tiny start with tiny armor and it losts some durability.

I don't understand exactly what is the time associated to any technology... Should the time to discover it not be directly proportional to the amount of beakers?

Sorry to say that for me too, the mod was killing FPS. This was fairly early in the game, and I have an Intel i7 with 32 Gigs of RAM and a very decent CGU.

Re: How to synchronize two inserters?
That was I routinely do also, inserter A adds something at a given speed (a speed high enough to satisfy the assembly machines on the looped belt) and inserter B (or inserters if you have several A) can pull out all that the A's can add. It can be nothing if the assembly are working at full speed ...
