Re: Robots should copy modules in blueprints
I re-purpose machines sometimes and find the manual module handling very cumbersome. Remember: just because you may not use a feature / a method, doesn't mean everyone else follows you :-)

I've had a train at approximately 4800 chunks out. It was a large train, I was using RSO and let's just say there's a lot of oil out there. And ghost trains...but they don't seem to be there any more :-(

Re: The obsolete turret problem
I used to ditch gun turrets ASAP, but now they get put down in pairs with lasers. They help provide extra damage with no power cost, act as a backup if the power does go out (which inevitably happens miles away, when it does) and running ammo isn't a big deal, as I always run supply trains anyway.

Re: Show us your factory defenses!
Landmines have an area of effect which damages walls (and you!). I put three (four?) express belts between the walls and the land mines. This helps stop the walls taking a hit from the mine explosion.nobodx wrote:unfortunatly, behemoth-biter just walk through it and chew on my walls =/

I would, but I practise defense-in-depth, and cannot reveal my defenses, for fear of giving the biters precious intel.

Congrats on the milestone! The FAQ seems well-thought out and the trains UI has clearly been made by people who love trains.

Re: Friday Facts #124 - Steam Status I
The game isn't released yet because it's not ready. The graphics, the mechanics, the bugs. The end game. It's not finished yet. The trailers, the marketing materials, the price, the GUI, it's not ready. These things change when the game is released. I cannot fathom why people have such a hissy fit ...

The player can always choose not to by-pass the many strategies available that aren't turret creeping. No need to force them to take the challenging route.
