I agree with you, but IIRC jetpacks are planned for a future update, that will sort this out!

Ah, now I see your point. Thank you for explaining!MF- wrote:I mean the day-night cycle of humans.
Being in the time field would totally throw off the bio-rhythms the humans have, because it would randomly shorten/expand days/nights.

Re: Factorio update (working on 0.3.0)
Could you guys update the game slightly more often ? I mean, I understand and agree you have to take your time, because quality>amount, but ... don't let us believe the game won't be developed anymore, and DON'T LET US PLAY SOMETHING ELSE THAN FACTORIO! ^^ Patience is a virtue. Quality takes time!

Indeed, but what if the last fuel burns up just as the inserter drops an item? That's the scenario I was referring to.MF- wrote:I though that the burner inserter only consumes coal during operation. (such situation "don't have fuel for refuelling myself" woudn't ever occur)

two days!! :0 two days!! :D :D This is the way YOU see it :) The way we see it is: "OMG two days, only two days left uaaaa " :) You shouldn't stress, take the time needed! Stress causes programming mistakes (believe me, I know), and it's bad for your health too. I'm sure many will agree t...

Re: New Inserters
I've considered the burner inserter again, and I've changed my mind: If the regular burner inserter is moving coal or wood, it would first make sure to supply itself before moving the coal or wood onwards. Problem would be that if the inserter runs out of fuel it would not be able to refill itself, ...

Stilt Inserter (Recipe: Inserter + 4 * Iron Rod): Works like a regular inserter, but you can walk through it like lights and power poles. I like the idea, but I want to change it a little: The stilt inserter should pick up items from underneath, allowing us to place it on top of transport belts. An...

Belt gates
I think it would be nice to have gates, or "belt blockers" for the belts. These would work like the smart inserters: if the condition is met, items on the belt will not be allowed to pass. If the condition is not met, it would act as a normal belt piece. This would further enhance the poss...

[Pending] Inserters vs underground belts
Inserters can pick up items from an underground belt entrance (from the side of the belt), but only while the items on the belt are moving. If the belt gets backed up, the inserter won't pick up anything. I believe the window on the underground belt where the inserter is operational is too small, so...
