Re: Reduce the Creeper spawner rate
I took out the base without turrets, was a royal pain though. But on my freeplay map I have upgraded to piercing ammo, and the bases are pretty easy to destroy now (even without rockets). So I think the spawn rate is good, no need to change it in my opionion. (Please note that I only played on norma...

Re: Return point for logistic robots
One of the ideas for the logistic robots we had was that they would use some sort of energy (like batteries or so). And when running low they would need to find the closest "hangar" where they would recharge their batteries. Sounds neat! That would also add a little more to power manageme...

Re: Gamepad/controller support
I prefer mouse and keyboard myself but having the option never hurts!
Have your son tried using a trackball instead of a mouse? If not, I recommend it! Especially the kind where you roll the ball with your thumb (third picture in link).

A few suggestions
Here are a few things I'd like to see: •1 - Craftable floating platforms. These can be placed on water, and then other things can be placed on top of them. Perhaps only "small" things like belts, inserters, poles, and pipes? •2 - Craftable backpack. This would increase inventory space and ...

A good suggestion!
It could be a hatch in the ground where they fly down to an underground garage when idle. Would be neat!

I have the same issue and I'm quite sure it's when the aliens calculate their pathfinding, all at once. It's quite annoying!

Re: Only for assembling machine !!!
I agree, only the basic stuff should be hand-made in my opinion. And then add more tiers of assembling machines to do the work.
But that's a balancing feature, could be a mistake to implement it too soon imo.

Even though one can do this with multiple filter inserters, it would be quite space-saving to have this. I like the idea!

Re: Different planets
I was thinking about that too. Since the player is supposed to be on another planet, is that odd that everything (beside creepers) is like earth. There are several feature that could be added, like the lack of oxygen and the necessity to have some device to get breathable air... Gravity, distance t...

Re: [Suggestion] Steam engines
Is noone else botherer by "water temperature"? Because there is difference between water and steam. Water is liquid and steam is gas. Steam engine should use steam, right? I did note that too, but I didn't reflect any more on the subject. You are right, of course. I assume that when the w...

I like the idea of different generators, but there should be no damage in my opinion.
Also, I don't think our pump and pipes could maintain the pressure required to get a water temperature of 500°C...
