Having alien "research centers" that increase the attributes (speed, resistance, rate of proliferation) might be cool. They could be both a target for raids, or, a place to dump human objects for alien research to promote peace. Haha, so you are saying that instead of us researching them,...

Maybe there is a giant artifact that is left behind by an alien race. The artifact would act like a factory that can produce alien artifacts, for a cost. (The easy way out.)

Sorry, but did you try putting the starting area to "none" or "small". This setting overwrites the resource settings in the immediate area. I can't really see if you knew this because of the giant wall of text.

Yeah, this would help the OCD people out there. I also find it anoying that threes get those little bars of health and don't lose them. So I would love for this to be implemented!

I would love to see it happen. But yeah, it's a 2D game. Making the game isometric 3D (Is that the correct term?) could do it, but I don't know how much extra work this would create. Probably too much. But the addition of Age of empires style of platues could be nice.

RTS scene is dead and desperately needs a change. Pretty much the only competition there is is Starcraft - although that's a on a wildly different level that not even Factorio can only dream of achieving. CnC took the wrong way, then flopped around a little and died. The only thing keeping RTS play...
