Re: High/Low power Radar
They can be turned on manually by right-clicking on them or by a GUI. They can also be triggered to turn on for a set time by circuit network. Hm, what is the idea behind that? What is the game-value? Why should I radar "by hand"? Isn't exploring easier? Well, the high-power radar was nev...

High/Low power Radar
So, been thinking. Radar really is great, but I think the active detection range (the area where all objects on the map update periodically EX: biter movements) is too small. So, I've devised a idea, to fix that. Low Power radars are great for revealing terrain, and detecting movements or updates in...

[Windows] The death of Win32 and 32-bit itself.
Honestly, I cannot emphasize how happy I am that THIS DAY HAS FINALLY COME!!! :D Windows 32 and, really, the entire 32-bit instruction set and system has been a pain in my rear end once 64-bit systems became more accessible. Please do realize, that I have been a bit behind when it comes to Factorio ...

Re: Are bots really short range thing?
I agree that bots are ineffective when comapred to other ways of transport, but when you compare just short-range bots and long-range bots, it kinda surprising that long range bots seem better. WTF are you talking about? I think what he is trying to say, mein frerf, is that long-range bots are the ...

Re: Best lines from patch notes (any game)
Command & Conquer: Zero Hour: Fixed a game-breaking bug where the GLA could launch the SCUD Storm repeatedly before the countdown reached 0:00.
The best part is: I tried that glitch before it was patched, and it actually worked!
My fastest game yet; just under 4:35!

Yeah, that would be real fun! Big fan of the C&C Series.
My all time favorite is C&C Generals with the Zero Hour expansion!
We're trying to get a Generals: Zero Hour server set up and running, but I really don't know how I will make this work. If you have any ideas, you could pm me.

but their depleted rate is quite slow (0.1 Crude oil/sec), thus my Crude oil income rate is capped very low in my current predicament. If you happen to find more oilfields, create a buffer. Just make a oil barrel manufacturing area and a extraction area. You'll have a steady flow of oil, regardless...

There are SO many reasons for this. I really can't pinpoint a specific reason until you give me some more info, but... Here are the 2 major reasons. You have a crappy ISP or Internet Package/Setup. You're connecting to an overseas server. SOLUTIONS: Upgrade your internet package/setup. DON'T CONNECT...

Well, I sure hope you didn't put too much effort into that save, because you just hit a very thick brick wall. :| Setting oil to very low is basically a death wish, because without oil, your progress stagnates. With the way the resource generation is handled (especially oil) it's already hard [natur...

But that would completely defeat the point of nuclear weapons. It's an equalizer when the odds are REALLY stacked against you, not a Discharge Defense!razorscarface wrote: Unless there will be mutated bugs that are immune to radiation and, for added fun, glow in the dark.

Re: How about using it in the classroom?
Yeah, I can see how this would work, however, you're gonna have some roadblocks. First off, let me say this: the only thing I can see this game work is Math and possibly Calculus. So far, there hasn't been anything close to physics implemented in the game, and there really isn't any scientific merit...
