I think picture attached may give a good idea for devs how to make graphics for it

Factorio won't have this problem, since it is being solved right now, so not a big deal.

Re: Friday Facts #133 - The train struggle

any object that is smaller than 4x4 can hide the inconsistency, try using a mod that uses 6x6 ie the warehouse mod and everything will become apparent to you. Rocket silo is 9x9 or so. Works well in any direction though. They also often hide it by including the height of the building in the height ...

Re: Train stations V vs H

Honestly this topic is kind've silly, There's no need for a poll, we have said which direction we're heading in Each wagon will be 6 tiles, with a 1 tile gap between wagons They will be equal lengths in both directions If people can't discuss this in a civil way then, Then i will kindly invite them...

Re: Train stations V vs H

If you hate PC comments... Simply don't go to any forum. Why should we read how do you treat everyone wrong and bias, while being same yourself? Not everyone is like you, so why do you think they are? O_o ____________________________________________________ In the poll in truth there's only 4 REAL o...

Re: Train stations V vs H

Doesn't it feel better to state that you are bias and not be confined to the PC box. I've posted my opinion few times, maybe in main thread - don't remember exactly (I don't like to be repetative. Almost like in anecdote: "I never say twice. Try to remember it - I never. say. twice.") It ...

Re: Friday Facts #133 - The train struggle

I'm signing every single word KatherineOfSky have posted. I'd like to add an interesting fact about Factorio, if you, mr. Wjessup haven't noticed it yet. Factorio is FULL of stuff you don't actually need to have "headache with", but that can help you, or just make things easier, or just gi...

Re: Train stations V vs H

I didn't want to upset you or make you quit, all I wanted was a definite opinion from you, hence the reason why I kept posing questions to you, (which by the way you are yet to address), as I like to argue a disputed point to its best logical conclusion. I've posted my opinion few times, maybe in m...

Re: Train stations V vs H

Sorry, maybe I was offensive - I didn't mean it. I just wanted to say you keep posting your "against" again and again. and it becomes annoying. You have expressed. Many times. Enough with it, really. As a thread author I feel some responsibility on what's going on here, but all I can do is...

Re: Train stations V vs H

@tehroach, stop flaming, please. I already see you're bias at this question. We have heard you. IF devs think they have to fix it - than they have reasons to. You may not know it, as well as many others. They will do their job anyway despite your personal opinion. Unless community resistance is heav...

[main website] [Klonan/Mishka] outdated text & no link to the guide

1. In "content" page there's quite outdated text: •Singleplayer freeplay. The main singleplayer game requires a lot of work to finish. The task is simple, build the Rocket Defense (a very technologically advanced building - analogy of sending a Satelite to space in Civilization). You will ...

Re: Train stations V vs H

Personally I think snapping trains to grid would be just enough. Fixing it's size isn't vital I would strongly agree with this. As this would solve most of the perceived problems involving trains, without adding more problems. But I still would prefer H = V : ) However I'm not too concerned and wil...

Re: Friday Facts #133 - The train struggle

Hi I'm pretty new to Factorio, so this is my perspective on this as a new player. :D The train fix is much better then what we have now! I wasted a few hours understanding WTF is wrong with my train stations as I was rotating my blueprint. And even before I encountered the vertical/horizontal probl...

Re: Train stations V vs H

That does bring up the interesting point that if loaders are implemented then trains being different sizes H vs V is a non-issue Honestly, the main problem gameplay-wise is trains are out of grid, resulting in different setups for each wagon for quite-many-wagon train. Also I suspect it makes reall...

Re: Train stations V vs H

I couldn't careless about the North/South and East/West train stations being equal sizes. Keep them different sizes! The visual hit and time wasted will be too great a price to pay, for the convenience of merging 2 blueprints into 1. Which IMO is actually just taking a game choices away from the ga...

Re: Friday Facts #133 - The train struggle

Speaking again about train length, please, don't forget to make them also fit in grid diagonally , and probably on turns, because some people just like diagonal stations. I would rather see diagonal train-stations before equal V vs H has sense, because after implementing diagonal stations trains-out...

Re: Train stations V vs H

I think there needs to be another option on this poll 0 - Leave it as it is, other features are more important than this. This whole train equalizing V to H is a complete waste of the devs time, they have already pushed back the fluid tankers, how many more features do you want them to push back? I...

Re: Friday Facts #133 - The train struggle

Leaving a gap of half an item between items for the heavy inserters seems like a good balance. Absolutely to preserve interesting optimisation problems and really add to the richness of all the options. No. That is just annoying, stop trying to nerf everything better than your normal inserters. as ...
