Re: Friday Facts #22 - Biters strike back
Same as the guy above me :D Better biter AI sounds great, are there any better weapons for dealing with the stronger ones? The grey skinned biters/towers seem to kill my guy in a few hits and take forever to kill themselves so I end up just kiting around while endless biters spawn on me :( On that n...

Also there should be possibility to produce petroleum gas from the coal, as it done in real life.
I agree, light oil is not used for much atm anyways unless there are a lot of plans already in the works

Re: Smart network - how?
Honestly I find it simpler to just use low tech solutions like having 3-4 belts each with their own research pack. It's an interesting idea I suppose but it doesn't look like it really saves space or makes the process more efficient anyways (ignoring the much higher cost too).

I imagine there are power plants utilizing natural gas or oil in the works.

Re: Blueprints
I agree, a separate folder just for blueprints so we can use them between games would be great. Supcom had a pretty good blueprint system that might help as inspiration since they are both RTS style games at their core. It was coded in LUA so I am not sure if its useful for Factorio but it might giv...

Re: Too much fuel.
The oil industry makes me a bit dizzy and frustrated. I'm curious to see what production layouts people have since post-oil mine is far from optimized and looks like some sort of Kafkaesque labyrinth of pipes inspired by Cthulhu. I'm eagerly awaiting the next few weeks of patches before I post prope...
