pipe-to-ground entities limited to 1 underground connectio

I've defined the following entity of type pipe-to-ground. In theory it should be able to make an underground connection in both directions, but it can't. If underground connections are intentionally limited to one, the structure of the pipe_connections table should be changed. If multiples should wo...

Would you consider putting the source to this mod on github? I've forked it, and I'd like to provide code changes back to you.

Re: A way to check recipes using an item in game?

You need gv_lua, which is part of the graphviz package, but isn't included in many builds/platforms. If you build from source and have SWIG installed then gv_lua will get built.

Re: [0.91] Character keeps mining

This is a common bug-ish behavior in many games. It comes from handling mousedown/mouseup events separately.

Re: Intermediate fluids as items

Alternatively, let assembling machines connect to pipes. That is the plan for new assembling machine 2 and 3. Not sure when it is coming, but it is. This would be used for recipes like: barrel loading / unloading, electric engine units, etc. And then what will the difference be between chemplant an...

Re: [0.9.0] night vision is wonky at dusk

I definitely prefer the slow turn on that happens afterwards, which might be due to something about the batteries. I'll pay attention to the battery level and see what happens.

Nothing about the stats of the weapons in-game indicates that they have different types of damage area. That should probably be fixed.

Another science 1+2 factory

This isn't optimally compact or efficient, it's just a concept that I wanted to try out.

also, there are a couple of inserter mistakes in the bottom right corner that I fixed after taking this screenshot.

Re: Steel Furnaces

I've noticed that Steel Furnaces are rarely used; they just aren't good enough to bother the expense (so much iron!) and redesign. As a result, Steel Furnaces are usually skipped until Electric Furnaces are available. ... Instead of merely being much more expensive and slightly faster Stone Furnace...

The wiki will eventually be auto-updated with info about new releases.

Getting this info about mods will be more complex, but you're welcome to contribute some code for it! https://github.com/wube/factorio-lua-tools

Allow arbitrary inserter pickup/drop locations

Currently the code for the various kinds of inserters specifies pickup_distance and insert_distance, and assumes/enforces the application of these distances as directly in front of and behind the center of the inserter. I'd love to see this extended to allow the pickup and insert locations to be spe...

Re: [Request] 90-degree inserter

I have wanted this, myself, and wanted to start work on a mod for tools for denser factories, so I'm going to make this if I can.

EDIT: It would appear that I can't :( Inserter pickup and drop locations are specified with a simple distance instead of with specific locations.
