Re: Flip using F and G whith in-hand entities

sometimes you just make one rotate, sometimes 3, and then the R key start to cry because being hit too hard. ... Also people not knowing this feature add will double rotate like they are doing now. I only have one rotation bound. Using a second hotkey for 90Β° is worse than having to do a 270Β°. Peop...

Re: Concrete is a silly feature... and I want more!

I want concrete removed from the game.
It is completely useless, a pain to make and at this point little more than a meme.

Re: Reduce need for Alt-Mode by putting Modules/recipes on building sprites

I quite like permanent alt mode because the new and improved models
of almost everything look bad.
With information-loaded icons i feel like im playing an actual game instead of someones trashheap.

Re: My issue with Factorio and how the 2.0 Space Age expansion is going to fix it (i hope)

I dont quite understand this. Like many annoyances in this game basedefense is handled by having good blueprints. On normal difficulty levels the amount of ressources spend on defense is a laughable percent of the total base. Spend 2 hours in the Lab to make a handful of good blueprints from simple ...

Re: Include the "Even Distribution" mod in the base game

I had to use this mod once since my friend insisted on having it in our multiplayer.
I still do not understand what its supposed to be useful for.

the engines need not continuously fire to maintain velocity , may be the engines can be used for course correction. Design and add terminologies in such way that embraces realism. one of the things that makes Factorio a good teacher is that how close the game is to the real world scenarios. If we g...

Re: Friday Facts #381 - Space Platforms

I love the cel-shaded look of the concept art hub, I'd pay $10 for an official cel-shaded skin for Factorio. The graphical aspect is one of the things in which factorio has taken a major step back over the years. Especialy once they started adding the buttugly "3d" rework to the buildings...

Re: Not zoom to cursor

Because your view isn't attached to your character anymore. The camera moves up/down or left/right from me pressing buttons. Regardless of the presence of the character. It also zooms from scrolling the wheel. Regardless of the character. The only difference is that, in the mapview, the zoom goes t...

Except that you weren't in map view at the time, were you?

Map view gets different rules.
Please tell me how the rules differ.

All youve done so far is dismiss every one of my arguments with
no-substence half sentences.
At this point you are basicaly trolling.

I don't understand your comment, there are plenty of alt-mode enabled images and video.
I am talking about screenshots that show the whole plattform, not 2 machines and a stick.

Re: Friday Facts #381 - Space Platforms

The graphics for the thrusters and their engine plume look amazing. The fire looks ok, the engine looks like something you might encounter in a Doom game. It seems far to much like an organic piece and is very wobly. The Hub thing looks like a parody of a superhero enthusiasts wet dream of what a s...

Re: Not zoom to cursor

He's asking for an option . You are arguing against the option , insisting that everyone should like it the way you like it. How would the option hurt you? Im not really a fan of that argument. if the suggestions doenst stand on its own then it can be used to request anything up to i-win buttons. B...

Re: Friday Facts #380 - Remote view

If you place a blueprint and it doesn't change tint you know that it's not being built without having to wait for the bots to deliver everything else or interrogate the little out-of-stock blinker on the bottom of the HUD. I was expecting that answer but i still cant believe someone actualy wrote t...

Alone not much, but it also highlight what isn't in the process of being delivered which is more helpful imo. a checkmark would also help identifying this at a glance. Same question: What am i using that info for? Im a big fan of throwing information at the player. But it needs to be useful in a wa...

Re: Not zoom to cursor

tbh, the zoom from map view works exactly the way I want it to work, and I'd be upset if it didn't. That is obvious and totaly fine. There is an untold number of games out there with different behavior and many of them let you choose between zoom to cursor or zoom to center. Why is it that Factorio...

Re: Friday Facts #380 - Remote view

By useless, you meant for you I guess ? That's fine. But be reassured, you're not the only Factorio player out there, and there are others, like myself, for whom this will be useful : the devs haven't invested their precious time for nothing . Of course for me. But i would like to know wha...

Re: Friday Facts #380 - Remote view

I've struggled so hard with ghosts over the years that I can't even explain how excited I am about these new changes. I can do with or without the shimmer effect if that's what some people are bothered by, but please.. do not change course on the tint and making ghosting more clear (like you plainl...

Re: Not zoom to cursor

You don't automatically move your cursor to where you're looking on the screen? No, why would i do that? If anything i move it into the corner so its out of the way. Honestlyy curious: Do you get annoyed at Google Maps for the same behaviour? I didnt even know it did that. Ive used that thing twice...

Re: Not zoom to cursor

The only situation I can think of where this would be correct behaviour is if you're playing without a mouse. Are you a pure gamepad user? No, im not. And why would that be "correct" without a mouse. I want the zoom to happen independent of the position of the mouse so i can pan with the ...
