Re: Friday Facts #378 - Trains on another level

After the previous FFF I was a bit disappointed that the rail overhaul seemed limited to better placement of signals but then... OpenTTD junction vibes intensifies! There is still something about getting stuck above water that I do not get. Someone copy-pasted a screenshot of the reddit thread, whic...

A word of warning - this breaks space exploration, so either play a new SE-less save to marvel at the new eye candy, or wait for SE to update.
It also breaks some Bob's and Angel's.

Re: Version 0.17.66

When it comes to the GUI, my biggest problem is to find the button to synchronise the mods with the save that I want to load. I didn't know about its existence in 0.16 (I thought people used parallel installations of factorio for different mod sets ), and never noticed its existence. I discove...

Re: Friday Facts #305 - The Oil Changes

I take the time to reply here because I totally support the changes to oil processing (and because, as we know, people who have something to complain about are more prone to reply, so let's counter-balance that). We've all been there, facing this wall, and even though it gets less intimidating with ...

[0.17.5] Personal roboport is not disabled when cruising in reverse

Hi,

This is as simple as that: when going in reverse, both in a car and a train, the personal roboport is not disabled.

[0.17.4] A burner inserter did not restart after running out of coal on the belt

Hi,

I temporarily ran out of coal on my boilers belt, I fixed the problem (silly mistake, used a yellow splitter instead of red), and all but one of my coal inserters restarted. Please find attached the screenshot and a game save.

[0.17.1] Suddenly can't select items in inventory, must right-click to recover

Hi, Very early in the game, my inventory suddenly got locked. I could not click on anything inside it. I wasn't holding anything. I started testing things, and it apparently worked again after a right click. For the record (in case that might be a focus thing), I'm playing on Ubuntu 18.04 with i3wm ...

On a related note, I expected cliffs to be disabled when the slider is at the left-most position.

Re: Friday Facts #282 - 0.17 in sight

First and foremost, I'm as always amazed at all the work done by the dev team, and the quality of the FFF every week (which no doubt takes a lot of dedication to be delivered in such good form). Please keep your release process as sturdy as it is. The "release early, release often" philoso...

Re: Friday Facts #279 - Train GUI & Modern Spitter

:D Counterargument β€” green bar represents condition fulfillment and it usually helps to have same GUI elements to behave consistently across application. Agreed. When deleting files, the progress bar still progresses right to left to show "progress toward completing current action." I was...

Re: Friday Facts #260 - New fluid system

Hi, this is my first post and I know that I'm eight pages late, so I'm probably going to repeat what some others said before, I tried to read answers that seemed similar to mine and skipped others, I might have failed to evaluate them correctly. First, I don't see the necessity of modelling fluids a...
