I think changing the underground belt distance was a mistake. For the same reasons why lane changing items and control over where inserters place items have not been added to the game. The underground belt distance is the very minimum you need to get stuff done not a square more. Much work has to be...

I am not exactly sure what you mean @Bisa. If my friend is connecting to me why does he need to step up port forwarding?

I have the same problem and I have followed all of these directions. The game worked fine for my friend and I in 11.22 but he can't connect to me in 12.0. As far as I know I have not changed anything. My other games which require port forwarding still work fine.

I think the game handles the locomotives fine when it comes to fuel extraction using inserters, If you are having problems with inserters stealing fuel from the locomotive use smart inserters with filters to prevent such a problem. Fixed that vertical straight cables wasn't always visible when the game was zoomed out.
