Re: When joining multiplayer public games loading screen gets stuck on "waiting for server to save map" I cant get into

I am also experiencing this problem accessing a professionally hosted server.
I doubt it would be a port forwarding issue. I have heard it can be related to the connection process taking too long to respond (I'm on satellite and have about half a second ping).

Re: dissociated multiplayer option for high latency players

Please read the original post! This is NOT about reducing latency, it is about reducing the impact of latency on the play-ability of a multiplayer session. These are design suggestions for a system that gives a similar experience to true multiplayer but should not experience the issues that true mul...

Re: dissociated multiplayer option for high latency players

You mean like the builtin latency hiding feature ? That's builtin and can't be turned off, so it's not an option. There is an option related to latency in the hidden settings (Ctrl-Alt-Click settings => The rest), but I'm not sure what it's doing, and it's experimental. It can't make miracles thoug...

dissociated multiplayer option for high latency players

NOTICE: I will no longer be attending this post due to lack of productive discussion and the offensiveness of certain community members and moderators. TLDR: there should be a multiplayer option to reduce the interaction with the server to make multiplayer playable for isolated/high latency players ...

Re: Friday Facts #366 - The only way to go fast, is to go well!

I think the great thing about Test Driven Development is that by deciding how a system will be tested before its implemented, you will be forced to create a much clearer image of how the feature will work/interact with the rest of your system, before implementing the code. My experience with program...

Re: Lategame mining options are lacking

I feel like something similar to the rocket system from Oxygen Not Included would suit this game well. When loading the rocket there could be several alternatives to the satelite which when launched gives a huge amount of 1 or more types of ores or oil. UPS: the rocket would only update once per lau...

nice would be a roman concrete recipe. Lime+sand+water->mortar. mortar+crushed stone->landfill/concrete?
I feel like there is something similar already but it might be for glass and it only uses one lime per batch.

Re: [0.16] Sea Block Pack 0.2.16

I guess it is not exactly a Sea Block related question, but is there a way to automaticly destroy certain items similar to gas\liquid voids? Certain production lines (like chlorine from Electrolyser) have an additional item output, which can fill all your warehouses after a while. You need large am...

Re: [0.16] Sea Block Pack 0.2.16

I realise the request is more relevant to the mod authors but the issue is in relation to this mod pack. I feel a more realistic approach to pollution (namely what it is made off) would help this pack immensly. as far as I know when carbon based fuels are burnt the pollution you get is usually mainl...

Re: [0.16] Sea Block Pack 0.2.6

This has been bugging me for a while but is there any real point in the advanced solder smelting tech line? The starter recipe which only uses assemblers and metal mixing furnaces gives a 1:2 ingot input to solder output ratio and even the tier 3 smelting tech gives a 7:16 ingot input to soldier ou...
