Re: [0.11.19] Map is gltiched; Some chunks not showing

The map in your save works just fine on my computer. What system do you have? Does the map stay like this or does it get filled? Does this happen for other maps as well? I forgot to post this, but the day after, after I closed the game, the map was fine. So apparently restarting the game fixes it, ...

[0.11.19] [kovarex] Map is gltiched; Some chunks not showing

I noticed this today.

In my big resource, peaceful map I have a large factory, and when I opened the map up today, parts of it were missing.

Everything withing that screenshot was filled in last night. This problem is also affecting the minimap.

I think that might be because of my brother.

He for some reason can't connect to any server, even with Hamachi. The server then crashed after it kicked my brother out, leaving me as the only player online.

I found a server a someone put up on Reddit

This is not mine. I found it on Reddit and wanted to share.

Link to the thread

Apparently the server is running 24/7, if the guy restarts the server if it crashes.

Re: How bright is this planet anyway?

You will find the train moves 72 tiles/s. /c game.player.print("x:" .. game.player.character.position.x .. " y:" .. game.player.character.position.y .. " s:" .. game.tick/60) Well there you have it. Every tile is 1 meter squared. So transport belts are a meter, and the...

Re: How bright is this planet anyway?

We can assume, that 1 tile = 1m² , cause too much things are matching together with that measure. Any other leaves more question-marks. :) Has anyone attempted to calculate how big a tile actually is? We have a confirmed max speed of a single locomotive, so I think rapidly taking screenshots and co...

Re: Filtering a slot in an inventory?

logris wrote:The default binding for filtering is to middle click (click with mouse wheel) on the slot.
This then opens a window to choose which item for the filter.
As far as I know, this only works on the toolbar, and train wagon slots.
Train wagon slots?

Ah, dang it. I though it could be in chests, too.

Filtering a slot in an inventory?

Does filtering a specific slot in an inventory work at all?

I know filtering the player inventory makes a message that says that if we want it, the devs will put player inventory filters, but I haven't found any way to filter a slot in a chest/cargo wagon.

If you want to have 0.11.xx, go to Other and check "Enable Experimental Updates"

Specify specific item filter slots in a chest

My designs for a robot-based factory tend to have exactly one provider and one requester chest and 2 assembly machines. Being able to specify which slot items go to is great for saving space with the crafting of two items that have the same ingredients. An example are Straight and Curved Rail. Both ...

Re: Endgame concerns[POLL]

They should have the "Save the Colonists" option for Campaign mode, it makes more sense there.

You crash land, you explorer a bit, research, build a huge factory, research space rockets and rocket defense, and finish the game's story with saving colonists.

Re: I did the Math on Oil Production

Could you put down a TL;DR with a ratio of max PG production and max SF production?

I can't find one, but the solar panels and accumulators have the 1:0.84 or something ratio.

Re: Option for tree density in the map generator

I don't mind the forests so much as they tend to be impassible. I have wasted countless in-game days trying to navigate a thick forest, getting into spots that I don't even know how I got into, let alone get out of. Maybe an option where the trees aren't so clumped up together, like in a real fores...

Re: Modding tools??

Hi everyone. has anyone ever been kind enough to create a developer kit for mods? or is everything purely done with text editors? i was just wondering :D All you need is a text editor and an image editor, it seems like. Image editor for icons, sprites, etc., and the text editor for everything else.

Definitely, and maybe an option for forest frequency. Every world I've generated do far (about 12) had a desert as a spawn.

"Raw wood cannot be smelted", even though there is a recipe?

I'm trying to make a mod to add in two more fuels: charcoal and coal coke. I followed the first three chapters of the modding tutorial on the wiki, and I have the recipes, graphics, and items set up. I don't need to have it as an entity. control.lua is empty. the code so far: --in recipe.lua-- data:...
