Re: Friday Facts #375 - Quality

recycler yes, but without outputting higher quality components than inputted ones
extedned quality of modules yes
quality for individual components like iron plates sounds like an overkill and cheap way of adding complexity to the game
if it's optional and UPS friendly then ok

30$ is fine, 40$ is fine, 50$ is fine
I'd rather pay double for one of its kind quality game and play it for hundreds of hours than pay half the price for average game that I will play for couple of hours

Re: Friday Facts #367 - Expansion news

I'm not very interested to see fantasy genre in Factorio with flying monsters and magic. I would definitely prefer to have Space Exploration mod or something similar in nature developed, polished and implemented into the base game. But regardles of what you do you'll have my money anyway.

Re: Source code access?

In general video game developers don't share their code because if leaked to public it could be used to create a clone of the game or cheats. Although there is some rationale to make it open source like in example of Barotrauma. However nobody can expect from WUBE that they will share their code.

Re: your thoughts on menu simulation

The core concept of Factorio is about being clever in using different techniques and technologies to automate things in your factory and bring the sense of accomplishment. So for me the menu should show how factory works in lazy and relaxed manner and should not be loud and distracting.

Well, it's been a while. Here's new approach. It won't ever get stuck. It enables specific science if it's not present and it blocks all science if there is overall too much on the belt. https://i.ibb.co/0sFfLGc/rainbow-V2.png 0eNrVW22PozYQ/isnvjY5gV8wRGp/RL9Wp4gQ765VAsg420ar/PfaJL1kvRjGc922+XJ7BPIw...

Eco-friendly compact Kovarex enrichment to uranium fuel

This is very neat and battle-tested design. Connect uranium processing output to the bottom belt and iron plates to top right chest and you're all set. compact and neat autostarts it won't get stuck unless you don't have storage for uranium cells it may seem slightly imperfect but it has self-compen...

[0.17.79] Resource freezes when inner belt is full

Image
With setup as in the picture when inner belt becomes full then items on that inner belt stop moving until at least one item from inner belt is picked up and there is a gap. I expected it will keep going all the time. Outer belt works all the time.

Re: Friday Facts #336 - Offshore pump redesign

Hi, I love new pumps - this is great upgrade from previous version. I like that it also takes more space because previously you could spam pumps on small lake and have as much water as you need. Regarding beacons I never use them because they make no sense to me by magically increasing productivity ...
